Post: # 650013Post RodKeoghsLoveChild »

Is there a young player who deserves the jumper??

Will we retire it?

Connor harvey.......... when hes older :)
i hope, other than that, i think it should be retired.

dont just give it to some young recruit.
only if harves wants to keep the number 35 going.

but would be great to see it retired.

Sorry scuba do agree only Connor Harvey should wear the no.35 if he plays for the saints.

If not noone deserves the no.35.

Only Conner is worthy. I would love to see the number retired myself but I doubt that will happen. I hope no one has it for a while though.

The only reason i would want to see the number 35 out on the field next year is if Banger wants someone to wear it if not retire it until someone is worthy.

Not sure if the handing on of numbers will continue.

I would expect it to be retired.

IF Connor Harvey (and it irritates me a little to see som amny people assume he will automatically be an AFL Footballer, gentics doesnt work like that) makes it, then perhaps he wouldnt want the pressure of his Dads jumper. Gablett Jnr seems to be doing OK without it

Agreee though, NONE of our young kids are anywhere near the standard or even potential required to wear this number

only young recruit we have who may play 200+ games is armitage...and thats not a certainty. retire it til we get a good young player capable of being a 300 gamer

Not sure if any of the players actually want to go back into the higher numbers. It's usually the other way round.
At this stage, let's leave it for a couple of years, to see if someone else bursts onto the ground that is worthy of wearing it.

I disagree.....retiring a jumper doesn't make anyobdy happy. A gesture like Richmond does with honouring their captain with the Number 17 would be far more appropriate.

Many said that there was only ever going to be one Darrell Baldock. I think we all agree however that Plugger did his famous #4 justice.

I think the key is to wait until someone comes along that proves they have the qualities worthy to wear the #35. I am hoping more than anything that Rob will be back at the start of the 2010 season presenting it to Armo or Jack Steven.

Retire it. Bring it back if and when Connor Harvey plays. But I'd laugh if Connor ran out in #52 for his first season.

I don't think we will ever have another 300 gamer the way the game is these days.

Luke Ball OBVIOUSLY

Currently 14 (Lukes No) x 2 = 28.

14 divided by 2 = 7.

28 + 7 = 35

PLUS HE LOVES HIM :D :D :D
