For 21 years of fantastic football. At 37 years of age you are still one of our best players, and after tonights effort maybe our best midfielder!

Thanks for the memories :)

Yes, I agree. Robert Harvey is a great man. He has consistently distinguished himself by his hard work, his fairness, his courage, and his skills. He never stopped running, and that was the model that the next generation of footballers adopted because of him. The way he is SO highly regarded by everyone - our fans, opposition fans, our players, opposition players, TV commentators, umpires... it speaks volumes about the character of the man.

He has inspired a generation of Saints supporters. Thank you Harves.

I hope this modest man can one day look back on his career and truly recognize what a great contribution he made to our club.

Never seen him so distraught after the game. I'd love to hear what he said in the rooms, but understand if it's kept quiet.

Robert, your career has enriched our lives an unspeakable amount.
May the rest of your days be as enriching as you made ours.

I can't believe we won't see him running out on the field to play again. This was even more devsating than the loss tonight.

Thanks for the memories Robert, may you have a long and happy retirement

Michele

I agree. I know people like to say that no one person is bigger than the team, but Robert Harvey was such an integral part of the team, and for so long too. The fact that we will never see a legend of the game play another AFL/VFL match again feels really devastating I think

Gee, what a night...was great to see the crowd stay to farewell Harvs, not one single Saint supporter moved from their seat at the end of the game...was great to see. I took my eyes off the ball in the last 5 mn of the game to only follow Harvs, to only follow No35. Couldn't believe that this was the last time I/we were watching him on the MCG, couldn't believe it was over. Wet eyes, empty feeling...

Thanks Harvs, We'll be missing you, thanks for everything you've been giving us...We Love You!

I cannot believe we will not see the great man play next year! There were Saints supporters around us crying as we watched him chaired from the ground. i just don't think it has sunk in yet that we won't see him play next year!

Thanks for the memories Harves! You will forever be etched in our hearts and our memories. What you have brought to the game and to the St Kilda football club will never be forgotten.

Sometimes, not often, and not everywhere, but sometimes, even if just for a flickering moment, an individual is greater than the club. Tonight was such a moment. It hurt more to say goodbye to Harvey than to our season. We've seen many seasons slip by all too quickly, but know the time will come again.
We'll never see His like again.
Thank you Robert Harvey!
