...as they are a sponsor of our club. Reading a small article on Wakelins retirement today & it read as follows:"Shane Wakelin had the plug pulled on his 252 game career courtesy of the 'Pies 34 point loss to the Western Bulldogs" - What the..?

The Age is nearly not worth bothering with.

The Robert Harvey tribute game had a picture of Harves with his kids going through the banner.

"Robert Harvey carrying daughter Alyssa, with son Connor and daughter Alyssa."

Two daughters, same name?

I'm sure there are mistakes in the Herald Sun, but I don't seem to see as many of them.

This is what happens when you continually slash jobs and sub editors have no time to look at stories.

You're a f***wit, David Kirk. Rupert Murdoch is showing the way - who would have thought??

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

They've made some interesting ones.

On the front page after the NAB Cup win they spoke of it being our second title since 1966. Considering they were talking night premierships they had obviously forgotten either 96 or 04.

They were also terrible with the ladder on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Rd 22.

It's good for a laugh though.

Like mixing up Sam and Leigh Fisher in the picture accompanying Mike Sheahan's column last weekend.

Each as bad as each other IMO.

I have noticed when listening to radio commentary or during a televised games there is almost always a comment made where they mention the wrong team, wrong player, wrong score etc and they don't seem to realise it and are never corrected about it by a fellow commentator.

In the Freo game, Dwayne Russell made 3 incorrect statements in about 10 minutes..

At first he said we had lost 4 in a row against freo in perth, when we had lost 3.

He said Milne had never kicked more then 4 goals outside of the dome, when he has a bag of 5 at the G just this very season,

and he also said that Raph Clarke had been on our list for 8 years.....

I thought that sort of thing only happened in Qld. One of my favourites was one day I was getting a footy score. And they said the Crows were playing Adelaide

I thought the same thing, but thought about it and I think what he said was that Hawthorn are "a real benchmark team, but full credit to Geelong." As in, they are also obviously a benchmark team. Then again, I could be wrong.
