Magpie Glory in moment of Defeat!
I seen the Pies line up after the game and thought why? I had a suscpision but wasn't sure.
It was a great effort by the Pies to line up after a loss to honour an opposition player - very well done indeed.
It's now official!
I hate Geelong more than any other side in the league!

Was there on the outer wing as a youngster flying the flag in '66 - still loyal, still passionate!

That was good of them. It helps heal a little of the despise I hold for them.
I sat my self down in front of a fully-sick crowd of Magpie fans and let em have it from the first bounce to the final siren! FULLY-SICK-MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE!!! ME PIES ARE FULLY SICK!
Whatever happens from here on in this season, we can all rest comfortably knowing we beat them on the ladder in 08!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Much as I hate to admit it, the CollingFilth Football Club showed a hell of a lot more class than tehir army of faithfulls.
When they were standing around I thought they were just waiting for the Sints to line up opposite to say goodbye to Wakelin.
I was absolutely gob-smackd when I saw it was for Harves.
Maybe Scarlett might learn a lesson in respect?

Why should the Cats line up for a guard of honour when we might play them again in three weeks?
Having said that, great kudos to the filth for their gesture.
Two more wins boys, you can do it. If they did set up a guard of honour it would be great of Bob to say thanks to the Geelong boys after we kicked butt and then single Scarlett out to piss orf!

I made a suggestion that Scarlett should learn some respect, that's all.

Good on em sure it was a great gesture but the best line of honour for the night was that afforded by Saints fans as a legion of filth paraded up and out of the ground to rousing applause - nice of them to stick around and support their team through the last quarter of the season and say good-bye to the likes of Wakelin (he is going isn't he?). Real respectful bunch - having sat through years of bitter & twisted causing Victorian Park torment I give them nothing
Graceful, elusive, strong overhead and no Easybeat!

agree- probably all the more noticable because of last week and the differance- not needed maybe But appreciated.Saint Bev wrote:Was impressed, give credit where credit is due.
especailly as it was Wakes who mentioned
and then appeared to retire
and for all his annoyance- last time we played them it was Thomas who ran across the ground to shake Harves hand after the game.

It's important to seperate the pies players from the fans.
Their fans are born and bred collingwood.
Their players are chosen throught the draft ect.
It's the fans that make them the filth, not the players.
I can tell you that, many pies fans I know, are embarrased by the majority of their supporters.
