Drop Charlie Gardiner!
Surely Gardiner must be dropped this week.
Many times on Sunday the Saints were linking up nicely on the wing, hitting a series of targets. Then we reach half forward and Roo has three guys hanging off him.
Gardiner was seemingly always next in line, but every time I looked up he had his back to the play, looking uninterested.
I know it would be a risky call but J. Allen has showed a lot in the VFL and deserves a call up.
Don't get me started on Eddy

Would be nice if anyone honoured his leads! Probably easy to ignore, as he wasn't leading into the same space as Roo. You could even see him on TV, standing by himself up the guts during kick-ins, but we kicked to easy targets in the pocket instead. It says more about Geelong scaring us into easy options than anything else, but he was still out there.
Bear in mind that he should have had one free in front of goals last week, being clung onto during whist leading...so that would have been a goal. Otherwise, he was ignored. We need a leading forward this week, Allen and Ferg are too bigger risk, so do you replace him with G-Train???

That is the kick-in set play.degruch wrote:You could even see him on TV, standing by himself up the guts during kick-ins, but we kicked to easy targets in the pocket instead.
The best kick in the team (NDS or BJ) watches the huddle burst open. Waits. Waits. Turns and kicks it 14 metres to whichever pocket Max is standing in.

honouring his leads intead of trying to kick it to roo every time would help.
he presents time and time again . . . . and its like he's mr. invisible.
are we so drilled to kick it to roo that they stream forward and have tunnel vision ?
