So if WC say give us Armo + Steven, would you?

I think WC will want low picks or quality youth...and not players in their prime years and certainly not any older players.

If you look at the players they already have at the club who are 22 or younger they havea pretty handy pool. This years early pick/s will only make it better.

Trading Kerr would be used to increase the quality of their youth coming through IMO...

In a heartbeat - Armo is a pick 8 who is performing as a mid 20s pick. Steven picked up at 42 and has not even debuted yet.

They'd want at least our first pick too though.

Who's to say that a 3 way deal won't happen? Oour player to a 3rd club in exchange for a draft pick... on traded to WCE?

That was my thinking too... or kosi and our first pick, but I was always crap at footy card trading.

St Kilda send Nick Dal Santo to Essendon.

Essendon send picks to West Coast.

West Coast send us Daniel Kerr.

Not much depth around and an ageing list without too much elite talent coming through and the club should hand over the first pick and a player for a guy that played 10 games this year?
Is this a denial of where the club is at ?
Would Kerr minus Kosi and our first round draft pick help the club win a premiership against the likes of Geelong and Hawthorn?

And you took the words right out of my mouth... it must have been while you were kissing me

Kosi to the Dees? Take a look at lower 8 clubs and see what they need. And then see if we have it to offer them.

I'm actually reluctant to trade Dal unless he wants to go. I think he can do a great Mcleod type role for us down back.

Lenny and Ball will remain our insiders... Joey?

Keep Gram as an outsside runner... adds pace.

Doesn't concern us.....all we worry about is getting Kerr in exchange for one of our players.

Joey is going no where, he'll be fine, will be very valuable.

Should be interesting.

IF we are to trade to get Kerr, then we must NOT trade away quality mids to get him. This will leave us back to where we started from.

I would not trade any of:

- Lenny
- Ball
- Dal
- Monty
- Gram
etc...

We need to ADD to this with more QUALITY mids.

Getting Kerr to add to this would be great, Getting Kerr & Cousins would be even better....

One would think this may be a roundabout kind of deal where we send someone to a different club, they send a pick and a player to WC and we get Kerr.

A lot more possibilities that way for sure.

Would not give a 1st round pick... unless you get one from another club.

If Kerr is out of contract, then WCE won't have much leverage IMO.

What they ask for and what they get... all talk and bluster.

Anyone who understands the first thing about negotiation will know that you start with the highest price... then work it down until you get a fair deal.

To say that there's no way we can get him... is ludicrous. If the club sees him as an important part of our future, and they believe that some of our better players are dispensible, they'll throw what they need to at WCE.

Well at least that is plausible...

unlike the suggestions that Kosi could get you Kerr, as he would not unless there where more valuable components to the deal.

You have to ask when are we aiming to have a crack at a flag?... do we want kerr?... what would they want/take for him?... kosi has really given us sfa and wont be missed.

IF we really want Kerr, the first question should be to WC "what do you want?"... then take it from there.....

Will be officially gutted if we don't end up with one of Kerr, Didak or Cousins next year.

I'm hoping it's one of Didak or Kerr + Cousins in the PSD.

Kerr is the one I'd really love. He's got some great years of footy ahead and is just a freak.

Imagine how much it would add to our midfield...

Well I am sure there are plenty of WA boys in Melbourne who might not mind going home to play
And a lot of sucker teams around who may just value our fringe players a little higher then we do :P

There are a few factors to consider.
1) Kerr is under contract and his only option is not StKilda.
2)Would Kerr go to a club with no home ground training facilities?
3)You're dreaming if you think WC would let Kerr go for not much.

Wasn't aware of his contract TBH.

Training facilities? Non factor... I'd suggest a shot at a flag would be more incentive IMO.

Dreamimg? Not really. Time will tell. Anything can happen.

Just ask Port and Nick Stevens

If Kerr and maybe Cousins came in we would have to get rid of 1.

Out of the above list and in terms of playing good football throughout the year, Dal would be on the chopping block.

What will lower Kerr's value is a declaration he wants to leave. His stocks have been dented by a bad injury run and some of his off-field antics.

Also in our favour is that there is a highly increased value on draft picks this year.

But you're talking about a top three player here, so the price has to be high.

We might get him 'under the odds', so to speak. I sure hope we can broke a deal that reflects this.

I'd give away our first two picks quite assuredly, to be honest.
