Are they? I thought a -26 possession count might have contributed.
Well when we should be getting frees we aren't and the cats are.

Marked on the line by Ottens.
It was a good effort by Roo but the wet ball was always going to make it hard.

X looks a little lost out there. Finding it hard to be clean with the ball.

Fortunately they've done what we did in round 4.
Boys can now settle and begin the comeback...
No TV coverage here, is Harry beating Roo or are the chances jsut not there?

Chances not there. We're struggling into the forwardline.
But you can clearly see we've got a lot of improving to do here.
Someone f****** hit Johnson we he tries to barge through 3 saints players.

Roo has had opportunities.
Looked nervous early.
Some of the marks he missed early on seemed to have little to do with Taylor, and more to do with the jitters.

In a nutchell.
More Geelong players at the contest.
Kicking to forwards by Saints poor even when clear.
Probably better pressure by Geelong around disposals at contests.
Some poor decisions by players have given easy transfer of play to goal for Geelong. Just lucky Geelong weren't accurate.
Umpires have been a little one sided but this would not have influenced th result much maybe 6 points.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Anyone see Ablett clearly holding Gram back at that last centre bounce?
