Intimidation the key
I think we have to go into the game with a mind set that we have to push the cats around, send them the message its not a one horse race and make them feel every possesion they get, if any.

Doesnt work. We need to get the ball and use it well and kick goals early to put pressure on them. No use pushing them around. But the main thing we must do is run and tackle.jakestar1 wrote:I think we have to go into the game with a mind set that we have to push the cats around, send them the message its not a one horse race and make them feel every possesion they get, if any.

I agree with that but I don't think Lenny going up to Ablett or Bartel at the first bounce would do us any harmplugger66 wrote:Doesnt work. their style of play is to dominate possession of the football to such an extent that they cannot fail to kick a winning score.
they've consistently racked up 400-plus possessions this season ... a number we've reached in the past fortnight, albeit against lesser opposition.
to beat them you need to have more of the ball than them. easier said than done, i know, but if anyone can do it ...

not suggesting changing the game plan or playing the cats at their own game.saintbob wrote:The key will be to stay focused on our own game plan, as soon as we try to play Geelong at their game we'll get smashed.
just do what we've done the past two weeks and have a lot more of the ball than the opposition. surely that could not be a bad thing.
