ST.KILDA FAMILY TICKET MEMBERS
I just spoke to ticketmaster because when i booked my 4 tickets (2 adult and 2 junior) the website didnt ask for my barcode numbers.
Th lady said at the gate you will have to show both your printed ticketmaster tickets AND your membership cards.
Make sure you have both with you!

Funny you should say that because when I bought my family 4 tickets this morning at an outlet I could have sworn that the lady there did not scan my tickets and only looked at them.
I remember thinking it odd at the time.
Somehow I doubt that (not what you said, but you were told...) as I think the MCG ticket gates only have the one light and so on entry how would the person manning the gate know unless he reads the tiny print on each and everyticket?n1ck wrote:

Methinks Ticketmaster have a glitch in their system.

Re: ST.KILDA FAMILY TICKET MEMBERS
If they're not scanning the barcodes, could that not mean that you could then use the same member ticket to purchase MORE tickets where they do quote the barcode? i.e. buy two sets of ticket with one membership card
would seem a bit silly unless ALL ticketholders are required to show their membership card at the gate - that would avoid the above

Hence my comment about a glitch in the system.spidoir wrote:If they're not scanning the barcodes, could that not mean that you could then use the same member ticket to purchase MORE tickets where they do quote the barcode? i.e. buy two sets of ticket with one membership card

In the 97 GF the Saints were selling GF tickets to SC members.
Back then you had a FC ticket anda SC ticket.
When they sold the GF tickets they did not clip the SC ticket with the result that some people (not me as I was using my sisters AFL tickets) went back and bought more GF tickets.
