For all those heading down to Moorabbin - please dont hesitate to talk to people about Saintsational - it would be great to meet others from the forum - and maybe generate a few more interested people on there.

Maybe we could do up an invitation to all nuffers to join and forumites could pass them around - would be a good way to break the ice with other forumites.

depends - last week they were actually out early

( and I note in saints_media posts on saintscentral message board that Lenny and Harves are the media front guys at 1.30 today)

but have still been out at 3.30- ish

but it really all depends on the day

Interesting to hear Gehrig trained strongly today  :?

I know, I know...move on...but it is interesting none-the-less :D

SEN reports Gehrig training strongly.

No sign of Dempster or Ball.

Schneider trained strongly despite his ankle scare.

SEN reports that Fraser trained well and looks very good.

I do think he may be a smokey for some September action. However very doubtful for this week due to it being the Cats and Scarlett.

If we get to a prelim and maybe further he's a good emergency back up in case we go down with injuries.

Also Schnides trained freely despite hurting an ankle last Sunday

I'm sure i've missed a few but did the best I could, only named players I figured could possibly play in the coming weeks (Beside's Goose & Dempster  )

A few didn't do much more than run a few laps and a few drills, but I think that's just general soreness.

Everything Fine - Jason Gram, Steven King, Xavier Clarke, Lenny Hayes, Max Hudghton, Leigh Montagna, Nick Riewoldt, Raphael Clarke, Aaron Fiora, Brendon Goddard, Sam Gilbert, David Armitage, Shane Birss, Justin Koschitzke, Sam Fisher, Nick Dal Santo, Jason Blake, Charlie Gardiner, James Gwilt, Robert Harvey, Jarryd Allen, Clinton Jones, Jarryn Geary, Stephen Milne, Robert Eddy, Andrew McQualter.

Xavier Clarke - Trained well, looks the goods for selection this week.

Fraser Gehrig - Trained real well, looks very very fit, beard gone, head shaved, could be a smokey.....maybe not this week, but don't be suprised to see him play 1 more game.

Adam Schneider - Ran laps the whole time, began slow, but pace picked up as training went on, he will play.

Luke Ball - Has thrown on a little bit of size, was out there, but didn't train, his arms look like Benny Cousins did last year in his 1st game back against the swans

Michael Gardiner - Looked ok, seemed to be getting around fine, tough to see him getting into the side now though, big injury risk.

Sean Dempster - Didn't see anyone on crutches, so he wasn't there i'd say.

Matt Maguire - Was just doing handballs and short kicks, seemed ok jogging around, he's got a mean tan on himself.....looks black

I'm sorry, but if someone told me awhile back they'd even consider putting Gehrig back into the side on his previous form, I would have walked away shaking my head.

But seeing a strong, focused and fit Gehrig with a score to settle back in the side has the goosebumps starting to rise on the back of my neck! A deadly, strong, accurate full-forward marking option to take the pressure off Roo & Kosi sure brings a smile to my face!

Nowhere has it stated he's retired! Nowhere! Very, very interesting!

the alternate report;

Great to see Goose and he seemed happy to be out there- warm up activities only- then inside

Bally looked like he was working inside and just popping out now and again- did sign autographs at end of session

Bakes may have been inside- there was loud music going throughout

Goose should have taken Eljay away with him- he needs some colour.

Kosi trained with small group initally and then in main drill/ part game session

players that didn't take part in main session- Dal, Harvs and Raph continued handball activity; Roo went inside as was Blake, Chips and Kingy running and small amount of goal square work,

 Don't you hate it when your marker runs out as the great man signs your poster :(

Good on the supporters present for giving the team a clap as they ran the first laps- and then continued it for Schnieds as he trailed behind testing his ankle,

Anyone know what Roo was up to. He did not look happy as he ran in and while running with the group I am sure he winced.

Fraser has trained well for the past six or eight weeks.

Don't read anything into media reports, it's just a beat up.

The G Train has played his last AFL game. He is just great to have around and loves to be part of the group and they love to have him out there.

I noted a few of the boys doing set shots.

Didn't notice anyone kicking from more than 35-40m .

Of course no-one wants to pull a muscle at training , but being at the G , i woulda liked to see a lot more from 50 .
Perhaps i missed it ?

Nic was practicing a screw shot from the boundary that he missed last week. Didn't see him miss once
