bombers v. saints......Sold Out???
I'm hearing that this game is nearly sold out? Is this true?
Was considering going to see the saints before the finals, but tickets are nearly sold out, so I'm hearing...
Possibly due to harvey's last home & away game, and the essendon retirements....?

But obviously it's going to sell out by Sunday....we are playing Essendon, it's Round 22, pretty clear isn't it?

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?
When Harvey announced his retirement I know a few friends of mine rushed out to buy tickets for this match in case it was his last. And also some are coming from the country who don't normally make it to the games but are taking a special trip just to see him off. They'd bought the tickets before it was announced that last week would be a tribute to him - so maybe a few in that boat and we'll see a lot of Saints there not just Bombers fans.

you could still get individual tickets on level 1 recently-
but keep trying was the advice I got from Ticket master late last week.
lets make sure there is plenty of whit amongst the red and black
their supporters now also have incentive to attend with several players retiring.

Just got my ticket, level 3 aisle 37 row T, look out for that vertigo.
Annoys me though, paid for a 16 game membership, yet have to pay an extra couple of bucks because Essendon think their going to sell out all their games.
Really this game should be non ticketed, it's not much, but there is a principle here.

There should be no such thing as an 'all-ticketed' match for St Kilda home games (I know this isn't ours, but it's still a relevant debate).
It always kills crowds and turns a 52,000 blockbuster into a 42,500 'average' gate.
At capacity, the Dome is one of the world's great venues.
Anyway, it's level three for me too this week. I left it too late.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.
Yeah those seats they are selling are wayyy up behind the goals on Level 3 at the Coventry end..if they are on sale theres not much left
I've always had a bit of a perverse interest in the way TD go about their ticketing..right from 2000 when the numbnuts who ran the place decided "Melbournians need to change the way they go to football games" Well yes, they started standing in queues instead of watching the first half of the game they were trying to pay to get in and see.
That first season, where every game was all-ticketed, is actually the reason why Essendon home games are always that way. When Essendon sold their 2000 memberships, they pretty much insisted that you had to have a reserved seat with it. But because there was no walk-up , they could scatter them all over the stadium without any danger of other people sitting in them accidentally. Many of those seats are still being used, hence the need to "all-ticket" people around them.
Ev, I agree with you about this need for all-ticket games. It treats the public like ignorant sheep imho, not to mention making it that much trickier to have the Moorabbin Wing function the way we want it to!. We had 50000+ at the TS40 Brissy game in 04 and at a Anzac Day eve game v Richmond in 03 (?) Neither were ticketed.
Funnilly enough (and plugger66 owes me a beer for defending them!!) but the AFL are not big fans of the "all-ticket" concept and fight quite hard to keep as many TD games as they can with Level 3 General Admission. The new "Premium" seating at the front of Level 3 introduced in 2007 is a trade-off for less "All-ticket" games.
AS far as their "front of house" staff on Match Day goes, the problem is they draw from a VERY large itinerant group of casuals, who may not do the same job in the same area twice in a season..and are often scattered betwen TD and the G. Theres a team meeting before the gates open and off they go. Those with reserved seating will probably notice (or not!) that you dont get the same Aisle attendant twice in a year. A big shout-out to the kid (and I mean kid) on duty on the MW on Sunday. Intervened very brusquely a couple of Crows fans were politely told that the seats they were in were actually yearly reserved seats and they must have read their tickets wrong How the hell would we know apparently? JUst that we sit there 11 times a year and the Aisle attendant had never been up there in his life. Went to the Idi Amin school of people skills

You don't have an excuse this week. You MUST come up to Livewire pre-game for a quiet ale and a bit of bullchyt. Then we can all head down to our seats in the same area en-masse.
We can all thank Michael for getting our seats by allowing him to buy us all a drink !!

I had to accomodate some neutral friends this week , a family of 5 . Must have spent an hour on the phone today ,, finally managed 6 tickets over in Aisle 29. Was the only choice he reckoned.
I'd sit on the bloody roof if it meant to see the game ,, aint travelling all this way just to not get into it that for sure.

the game has probably lost a bit of its appeal as Harvs will be going around again the week after
