Firstly, whoever has instructed our players to play down the wings should be thrown out of the coaching union forever immediately.
And if nobody is telling them to do that then why aren't our coaches instructing them to straighten up?
Regardless of what anyone says we have the best centre half forward in the league. Isn't that enough incentive to kick it down the middle? Then again he is in the middle more then ever these days so I can almost see why we don't centre things.
Kosi cannot do it himself in our forward line, while Roo is floating around anywhere from half back to half forward. And Schneider and Milney are never gonna be full forwards.
With an eye to next year its time to bring Fraser back for the last few games.
Have him patrol the right side of our forward 50, Kosi can take the left side, put Milne at the feet of Kosi to rove and although it may seem strange put Dal at the feet of Fraser. I would much rather have Ling tagging him in our forward line then in the midfield. And Dal is a better player than Schneider will ever be even in average form. With our new look midfield when Dal is on his game he may just do an Adam Goodes and kick a bag.
Then make a concious effort to get a tall left footer with a huge engine to the club next year to take Frasers place.
The 3 forwards did not work out previously because they were all inside 50, now Roo is floating around the ground this will work.

The whole footy world new that they'd come out fired upWho was on Davis? Coaching genius.
But letting the likes of Davis and others to get easy kicks out in acres of space early in the game , just purely fed their confidence , which you could see ( and hear from the crowd) as the 1 st quarter progressed
Thats got to have a detrimental inpact on our own team psych in the 1st half , and although we tried hard to turn that all about from late 3rd quarted the damage in terms of what it did to the opposition was, at it proved in the end , unsurmountable
Conclusion (IMHO) : pre-match set-up then dismall 1st half coaching/ match-ups was the most significant losing factor before even looking at specific players on the night
Confidence plays a big role, and the stage was set in such a big game where the opposition was desperate to find a bit of self belief early
By not comeing out man on man , shoulder to shoulder and making them earn every touch in that 1st half , we played right into their hands
