If not Ross Lyon....then who?
Who should replace Ross Lyon as coach......????
Dean Laidley (what the guy has managed to do at North with that list and the limited resources he has available is nothing short of amazing. Also, he has passion, something which Ross Lyon hasn't shown a lot of.
Your thoughts, comments?

But in all seriousness.... if we were to drop Ross, i'd go for Aussie Jones...
I know the whole deal about needing to be assistant first, etc...
Ross has shown that aint worth squat... Aussie is a brilliant orator with a great football mind and perception... We must get him in and around our club...

Lyon should only go if we have a plan.Buckets wrote:Didn't know that Lyon had been sacked???????
Some of the suggestions are absolutely ridiculous! Are you guys serious? The majority were against the GT sacking yet are quite happy to see Lyon go and us the laughing stock again??? UNREAL
If we have someone lined up. Someone specific.
If not, then you're right. You've got to learn from your mistakes. Sacking a coach without any idea who is going to replace them is, well, moronic.

I toss and turn about RL as a coach, but I think he probably doesn't have the goods. I was at a mate's place and was forced to watch Carlton vs PA on a replay, and honestly I thought Carlscum looked so much better than us -more confidence, more running, and Ratten exudes a lot more confidence and positivity than RL, who could never inspire me if that's how he talks to players.
RL said that we need to be excited more, after the loss last Sat. Sorry Ross.. you need to motivate the team -as if we haven't got reason to be motivated already..a position in the eight up for grabs, Banger retiring jeezzz!!!!

The two main people who I think should be involved in some way are Aussie Jones and Aaron Hamill.
Aussie definitely has a future in football, whether it be media or coaching and Aaron just strikes me as the type of person we need around the club right now. He's a St Kilda person, intelligent and well spoken, a good mentor to young players and wouldn't put up with any softc0cks not giving their all.

Don't know that Hamill would like to come back to the club! Just listening to him commentate St Kilda matches makes me think that there may be not alot of respect at the present!ralphysaints35 wrote:Thats why you would go for hamil as our forward coach, piss off barker.
keep silvagni as the backline coach he has done a alright job.
harves or Aussie as our midfield/assistant,
May be due to the way he 'retired'.
Thats Mr. Smartarse to you
