Now is the time for a simple banner

Totally agree. No need to say anymore.
This is excellent.
especially if the news expected this week comes to fruition.

Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly..!!
Shaw & Didak pale in comparison to the bigger picture that is Robert Harvey. They're not even worth thinking about this week.
This game, 20yrs on has Harvey written all over it! And the banner this week should reflect that. I'd be disappointed if the cheer squad wasn't already onto it. 20yrs, and such an amazing career!!
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!
As a result of today's announcement the banner from now until the end of the season should be the same - red, white and black in colour with the following:

35
NOW WE'RE TALKING!! NO WORDS...JUST THE NUMBER AND THE COLOURS! ...........THAT WOULD SPEAK VOLUMES!

1) Totally behind the idea of the inspirational side being nothing but a huge "#35". Nothing more need be said. It would be the most memorable banner I can imagine. The players might not notice most banners, they'd notice that.
2) Get a St Kilda sponsor on the sponsorship side to put their logo above the words fortius quo fidelius. If the cheersquad goes with the #35 idea, it's going to make this the best advertising opp on a banner in and for a long, long time. Those words, their logo, and our colours will be about as good a branding move as they could hope to achieve via banner sponsorship or even AFL affiliation.
Do those 2 things, and the crowd is going to react to the banner when shown, not just when the Saints run through it.
