Its funny because eddie can come out and be as ballistic as he wants....but at the end of the day, as another poster put it....Collingwood do whats best for them....Not best for the game.
All that has happened is that a lot of people got upset and held a press conference.
Absolutely no punishment. Especially when those pricks have set precedents to with fringe players in the past.
Respect? None.

What happens with this culture if one of these brain dead filth players gets p!ssed and kills someone?
Hope McGuire can explain to the relos that footy is more important than lives.
Really piss pooor from a piss poor club.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Unfortunately, Dimwit has already announced the AFL won't step in, and that he expects the club to come down hard on Shaw. Seems he doesn't know much about Collingwood!?! Heathy boy's a free man.
The double standards, this filthy lowlife scum football club will stretch to is unbelievable in the extreme.
I hope our players are switched on, so all the dentally challenged, tree swinging, goat riding, moccasin wearing, primordial swamp set and missing link crew with IQ's smaller than their shoe sizes are sent home early, so that by the time us Sainters leave the G, most of the feral flotsam and jetsam have been sent packing long before.
Heath Shaw crashes his car, drunk and he's a walk up start selection for the next week.
They are filth, they are scum, pure and simple, they have no morals and this is one must win game.
We must play in our home panel jumper and tell the AFL to shove it if they direct us otherwise.

COLLINGWOOD president Eddie McGuire is furious after star player Heath Shaw was charged with drink driving, but he hasn't suspended him.
Shaw will play this weekend in the crucial clash against St Kilda, despite being charged with driving close to three times over the blood alcohol limit.
''(The Collingwood Football Club) is embarrassed and absolutely furious,'' a red-faced McGuire told the media at club training moments ago.
''There is no excuse and we're sick and tired of this behaviour.''
McGuire said the club had lost over $4 million in sponsorship deals over the years because of players behaving badly.
He said Shaw would not be suspended but would take full responsibility and be fined the maximum amount.
“He’s not a five-year-old, he is a grown man and must take responsibility,â€

Strong stuff from Eddy there...you can really tell he means business when he uses the phrase 'clown'. I'm sure he'll have the leadership group give Heath a major dressing down, calling him a 'silly sausage', a 'goose', and a few rounds of 'crumbs, that was quite a foolish thing to do Heath'. He'll probably have to break his piggy bank to pay the fine too, unless he pays it off by doing chores around the club.
How should Collingwood handle Heath Shaw's drink-driving charge?
Sack him. They have to take a stand.

an indictment on their club that he is playing this weekend. a sign of weak leadership, imo.

Well, have a look at their onfield leaders...Scott Burns can't have a free kick called against him without it being followed by a girly hissy fit and the pathetic high-pitched whining of his...and that's the captain. Then there's Didak...the less said the better, but typical of Collingwood's pro-d**khead employment policy (se Shaw, McGuane, Buckley...only forgave Franics because he ended up with us). At least Bucks has gone on to be an astute commentator.
