Can someone report from today where Mini is at?

Sounds like he was one of our best??

Can someone fill me on where he is? Sounds like he is really going well this time around and grabbing his spot with both hands.

What are his strengths and weaknesses? player he resembles?

Mini was great today. Will have to lift again to fill the hole left by Ball.

Great to see him improving every game, excellent foot skills -and doesn't mind the tough stuff. I would have him over Baker at the moment.

Mini is doing great at the minute, he is the Mr 1% man of our team, Baker will struggle to get back in for the rest of the yr regardless how fit he gets himself now

McQ right in the thick of things

Post: # 614051Post Megamaguire »

McQ was a great contributor tonight. I can recall plenty of worthy in close possessions- tackles and switched onness. He looks stronger and it helps him impose himself on the game. He is starting to look like a great Luke Ball double. Bally was all courage again and i hope he can make it back in 2008.

GO McQ!
GO SAINTS!

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

Well on the way to becomming a premier tagger.

Hurts....absolutely punishes with his run.

Doing very well indeed.

Think about it this way we only got him playing for the 2nd half of the year because we elevated him for G - train, was a huge mistake to have had him on the Rookie list in the first place.

I think he's wasted as a tagger.

but he's doing the job, some of his passing under pressure was pure luke ball/nathan burke.

With Luke Ball out, Mini will be taking over his role.

Birss in asa run with tagger.
rmo an otion as an inside mid as well.

Pies is an important game and so Birss may be a better in than Armo. last time round he destroyed Shaw.

Agreed on Birss. Not too sure on Armitage though, not sure he's ready for the responsibility.

hes not high possession-getter but he gets into contests and lays plenty of tackles - a good tag and a tough man like ball and hayes

13 possessions and 9 tackles second only to luke ball (14) with hayes behind (8)

McQualter is playing a baker type role, its not his job to get possessions.

I hope one day mcqualter does get elevated to a midfield position instead ofa negating position as he looks the goods.

I remember stan alves saying peckett was good enough to play on the wing, the only problem was a certain nicky winmar held down a wing for over a decade...not a bad player to keep up downfield tbh.

I can see him becoming more like Brett Kirk and Kane Cornes each game, shutting down his sopposition while racking up the possessions. Always knew how to find the ball, I'm very glad we are persisting with him.

Eastern says Mini was our 6th best player today.

Who was above him, because I only saw 3 good players?
