Would leave those who are not true saints fans with an uphill climb to start "trolling" threads and those who do make 100 posts and then start trolling, well that just in itself would be so sad, it's almost funny.

Stinger it does show that in some way, somehow, the Saints have hit a nerve in regards to the club they support.
Hence the reason all these Carlton supporters have been on here for about 8 years, I presume, just jumping at any chance to bring us back down, cause we've been embarrasing them for all those 8 years.

and anyways im pretty sure he said on footy show the other week he wanted to stay
We wouldn't have the room in our salary cap even if we wanted to get him (and that's after Harvey and Gehrig retire).
We'd also have to give up draft picks in the last year before the new clubs get the cream of the crop.
Even if he leaves Brisbane which he WONT, he will go to a lower club who can afford the Lions asking price in terms of draft picks. If he goes into the PSD its likey he will go to Collingwood.
Forget it, he wont be playing for us next year

Of course St Kilda should make a play. But only a play.
Eddie Maggot has been doing it at Collingwood for years.
He makes a play for our's and other clubs' star players.
He offers the world but just never puts anything in writing.
It pushes up the player's expectations from his existing club.
This causes the exisiting club to pay more to retain the player, creating salary cap problems.
These salary cap problems then cause opposing teams problems fiitting in lesser players and those required as replacements for injured players.
It is called sabotage.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Clubs (or should I say supporters) would like to believe that ace.
Unless you're holding the whip handle (i.e. you have the #1 pick in the PSD) clubs take those sort of advances for what they are - fishing expeditions.
As much as I admire Jonathan Brown & how good he is , I don't think it would be a positive move for the club. I personally think we need to recruit some up & coming speedsters to compliment our established list that is already handy but needs a injection of speed to make us competetive against sides that exploit that side of our game as was so painfully obvious on the weekend
anyone a little bemused with the announcer before the game suggesting the big news of the week was "st kilda making a big play for brown"... missed that one :O
