I hate to say it... but it is the loss we needed, we went in too cocky, just like the fans
we shouldnt have won the Hawks game- but we did
we shouldnt have lost the eaglies game- but we did
if we had lost to hawks and won against eagles we would be in 9th spot anyway... there is still time and we will turn it on

who is confident of the saints bouncing back this sunday?
I am!!!! (is this accepting mediocrity? )
St Kilda forever ( God help me)
Confidence is a fragile thing
look at the dogs, they lost to carlton
Carlton are a rubbish side, but riding high, very high on confidence and self belief.
As is frustration, Goddard lost it, (and I don't blame him) you do all the right things and the random decision goes against you, in what was a tight game, its soul destroying.
Even Ball looked like the frustration was getting on top of him.
we lost the 4 points crying about it won't bring it back, but the players weren't the only force deciding the outcome of the game.

Who knows with the saints - Weagles have been pretty poor but they handled us with ease in the end. The saints have a sorry record against the Powerless ones who will also have a few out with injury. That should just about make it a win for them.
I will be hoping rather than expecting this weekend !

It's been a while! Ahhh, the phrase that defined 2007.jakestar1 wrote:i am quietly confident but you can never be too confident as last week showed

'Quietly confident', even when will be raging favourites - gotta love that.
Because they are too scared to have a crack at Ross Lyon, knowing they knifed GT.saintsrus wrote:We need the media to jump on us but looks like we are getting away with it so far
The media is so soft on us, it's pathetic. Turn the screws.
Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

if maxy is out injured... those odds may not be so kind.
anyways, some of us can't stress enough that we may very well have needed the loss to spur us into the realisation - that despite the good form we have shown we are still not good enough just yet. sure the eagles game was a let down and we should've won considering roo was on fire but we made mistakes, kicked some poor shots and in the end, let the eagles sneak a win.
we need and we will bounce back

im sure after last week alot of planning will be going into this match. everything will be looked at. im confident that the boys can bounce back.
But every team is always a threat, you never know when that under performing team will fire up. Port is a capable side and should be treated with the same attitude as was against the hawks.
