Should Schnieder be DROPPED? !!

Post: # 611508Post Eastern »

I reckon that if Ross was to drop Schnieder this week it would send an even more powerful message than the one that was sent when DalSanto & Milne got dropped. The reason the message would be so powerful is that there is a perception amongst many saints fans that Schnieder is a bit of "freckled duck" as far as protected species are concerned, and we all know that perception can sometimes be more powerful than reality.

A simple YES or NO will do (I don't know how to start polls  )!!

Yes... he hasnt been dropped, he has been injured then came back through the magoos

if he gets dropped he realizes he has to pick his work rate up.

Yea probably, he has been very disappointing...

Who would have guessed that Dempster would have gained favour over Schneider?!?!

yes he should be dropped as saints supporters think he is a protected species, the Dal/milne would've been a lot bigger wakeup call for the list than Schneider being dropped would ever be.

Drop Roo, that would be a wake up call- its a shame he is our only form player at present so we would lose terribly

Public perception means nothing, it's not about making fans happy, it's about changing attitudes within the team.

First and foremost it's about getting the best 22 men on the field every week to do the job.

The answer to whether he should be dropped, is Yes.

Seeing our half forward flankers and smalls didn't come to play last week, someone has to go..too many stood and watched WCE defenders pick up the loose ball and run away.

YES hasn't really played a good game all season.
It would make alot of supporters happy to see that the coach doesn't just pick him because he was from Sydney

not only dropped but i'd be trying to offload him at seasons end,not that anyone would take him
unfortunatly think we are stuck with him ...hope to god he only had a 2yr contract & not bloody 3
if he plays 100 gms with us we are doomed

Schneider and Armo were two of our worst last game along with Gardi....though Armo's sin was basically just not getting enough of the ball considering he had 93% TOG.

Time to give Geary another sot considering his great form for Casey.

Birss has been putting his hand up too.

Yep SR Birss has to have a shot and Sneider out - IMO he shouldnt have been bought back in after a reasonable effort in 1 game in the two's.

Geary must be close also.

Armo could have a spell for Geary.

Yes, drop him coz he is perceived as a spotted duck by some supporters. Doing so would send a clear message to the members that Ross doesn't play favourites just becoz they are from Sydney.

On a serious note: NO.

Funny how we want to give raw kids a run, yet certain players aren't afforded the same opp to settle in.

He had a shcoker, and on that logic, about 10 players should be dropped.

Yes.... was woeful against WC and has hardly fired a shot all year.. Seems overweight and uninspired...

Preseason many thought him coming to the club would spell the end for Milne... The opposite has occured, where Milne has lifted his output and had a solid, if not good year, where Schnides has gone backwards from his Swans days..

Ross needs to be consistant with his stance earlier this year with Dal and Milne.. Schnides must be dropped..

I think its more than 1 game Wayne where we've been looking for more....its hardly knee jerk to be honest.

Time for a spell - he has played one good game and has had a better go than others. RL needs to be consistent.

agree with Teffers,

Birss in, Schneider out

would certainly improve my perception of the coach

Not making excuses for the guy...

Preseason? Not good. Been injured. Probably not fit. So make the call if he has to return back to Scorps.

Selecting Birss might be a good move, maybe they can bring Rix in for his farewell game for the Saints.....Ports ruck stocks aren't that flash at the moment so Rix might be able to play a blinder.....go out on a high...

i'm presuming Rix will be delisted at seasons end

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Unfortunately he should be dropped. Surely we can use our depth with Birss, Geary, Ferguson.

Gardiner for Kosi.

I wish!

It would have been Even money from the start.

Said it since the day we recruited him.

I would think Birss and Geary will walk straight into the team next week, and I bet Rix and McEvoy would have been peed-off that Gardiner walked straight into the seniors and did bugger all.
