Anyone else think that the next time the Saints are re-designing their clash jumper that instead of employing expensive desigers they should run a public competition to design the jumper?
Establish the same set of rules for submissions that the AFL has for the jumper, and watch the fan interest pile up. We'd be the only team in the comp whose fans liked their clash strip.

Here are some of the fan made designs from quite a while back.
We had a vote to see what was the most popular design according to SS fans and it was option 6 by quite a bit and then 13 and 14 were equal second, with option 3 just behind them.

Good work Armoooo !
I like option 12, followed by 13. Don't really like many of the others.
After looking at many horrible clash jumpers from other clubs I'm convinced predominately white is bad.
Option 12 retains some semblance of our traditional jumper. Ideally a clash jumper does this and solves the clash as well.
Not a total reworking of the jumper ala Melbourne's or Carlton's
Too much red in some of the options makes it uncomfortably close to the Sydney Syndicate for me.
On the subject of Clash Jumpers, I thought North did a good job wearing their traditional jumper for the warm up against Collingwood last week. However I was disappointed they didn't go all the way and do it in the game. It was their home game !
I feel we should make the stand and flatly refuse to change to them when it is our home game.
It's part of taking PRIDE in our club and showing them they aren't above us.
This subject has probably been done before ?
Thoughts anyone ?

ive always liked option 6 and 12, but option 13 would be nice as it brings back some heritage. just like Brisbanes away jumper brings back their Fitzory heritage.
"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

If we are going to bring heritage into it then i think we should be wearing jumper number 2, seeing as that is what we wore during WW1 as our colours were the same as the enemy germany.
IMO if we wore any of the following (2,3,4,6,7 or 11) i won't be complaining.

Unless you are Essendon....saint edward wrote:howlinwolf wrote:After looking at many horrible clash jumpers from other clubs I'm convinced predominately white is bad.
I may be wrong, but i'm pretty sure the AFL clash jumper rules state that white has to or is to be the prodominant colour
I could be wrong
The AFL should have equal rules....rather than the Dons and Pies being treated as 'special " acses.
