Changes if any next week
Not sure how anyone went today but the only 2 that probably could come in they did ok would be MG and Bakes.
If we bring in another ruckman we lose the ability to do more interchanges due to either King or MG having to be off as they have no where else to play. My question is. Is it worth losing that to gain a second ruckman and if we do play King the only 2 that could go are Eddy and Armo which means we lose a runner for a lumberer.

We play on a big ground next wee in WA....
So pace and run and both very important.
However the one big plus that WCE still have is Cox.
How best to combat him in the ruck and around the ground?
King, Gardi, Kosi, Blake??? That question may cause a change...otherwise I would expect no change.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. Subi is a vastly different ground to the Dome and thus needs to be played differently. We don't wan't to lose much run but due to the size of teh ground the HF area is so much bigger means you probably need two key forwards at all time with one to stay in F50 and one to lead up to HF because there is so much more room. This means that we probably won't be able to play Kosi as #2 ruck which opens the door for Gardiner.
Furthermore, Cox is the one player who can pose a threat to us and therefore we probably don't won't to give him any advantage or chance to exploit Kosi or even Blake. However, Gardiner will be coming off a 6 day break to go interstate, which isn't ideal.
Adding further interest is that this may be one of those matches where Armo as a young player is given a week off due to it being an interstate trip. We'll just have to wait and see as always.

who was hosting it? did someone make it for you?borderbarry wrote:What has happened to my Avatar this time???
or did you get it from a website?
often when avatars dissapear it means the original link has been deleted- either the person who made it for you - hosted it- has deleted it
or the website you took the picture from has changed/ cleaned/ deleted.
tip for future- save to your own link somewhere- Ie photo bucket or similiar or if your digital camera comes with a URL link ability.

No way should Eddy be dropped. He's settling in nicely, and he always gives 110%. Will only get better.
Armo on the other hand might benefit with a game in the magoos just to get a bit of confidence back. That handball to Milne who snapped a goal was indicative of his low self belief.

Changes if any next week
I know I'm not as young as I was, and that I wasn't at the game last night, but on my TV the Saints came back from a 34 point deficit to win by 30 So to borrow the old phrase: "why change a winning side?"
If the 22 last night were good enough, then why not leave "as is"?

Re: Changes if any next week
If a side can improve with changes we should do it. Not sure it can this week though especially if MG is the change.thejiggingsaint wrote: I know I'm not as young as I was, and that I wasn't at the game last night, but on my TV the Saints came back from a 34 point deficit to win by 30 So to borrow the old phrase: "why change a winning side?"

I would be tempted to bring in M. Gardiner for King and give King a well earned week off and keep him fresh for Port.
Gardiner has played the majority of his games at Subi and I agree that Blake could be used in a running role with Cox.
No other changes need be made - keep Fizz in for his run due to the size of Subi and if we so happen to get on top during the game it maybe a good chance to give Armo a prolonged run in the midfield.

tough call. question would only be whether we play MG or not?
a) we could have King at Centre Clearances and Blake follow Cox around the ground.
So basically leaving us one player down by 2 teaming Cox.
Or b) we just play normal and concede Cox his usual 30 possesions which is what all the other coaches seem to be doing....
so if go option a) we cant play Gardner as well. if we go conventional option b) then Gardner comes in for someone.
no idea who the someone would be though.

Howard couldnt even get a game last week when we could only use 12 Saints players so he isnt any chance at all.saintbob wrote:If Kosi gets outed for the jumper punch, then Michael Gardiner will come in.
Fiora and Armo out
Birss and Howard in
Would be a good game for Howard to get a crack for 4 qtrs, so we can find out if he's going to make the grade.
