Did you hear the guy they cross to make the comment early in the late qtr that 2 Tassie players went off injured so they were down to 16 for the remainder of the game. This guy is a complete tool!

It was Charlie according to our commentator so I'm not 100% sure.

another question for someone who saw the game...

Where did Schneider play? (midfield or forward line?)

Another good win, I was worried at half time.

Geary could be set to come back in, depending if the coach believes VFL form is worth something. Is ahead of Bakes and Schneider at the moment.

X wasn't named, but Baker should have hopefully played a full game, same with Schneider. Perhaps they were given instructions that it was their fitness, not form, that would be used for selection.

Surely Birss deserves a spot. He was playing good footy when he was in the seniors and has consistently been in the best 3 for Casey ever since. Some might say that we've got too many of his type, but the difference with Birss is that he can kick goals and hurt the opposition around the ground. He's also played effectively as a negating forward and would be a good match up for Guerra this week.

Next question: Who do you drop for him?

Jimmy would be in doubt.

Also have a feeling RL would have Schneider and MG ahead of him so 3 would need to be dropped.

Hopefully Bakes can regain his form and fitness with The Scorps over the next few weeks.
A fresh, fit Baker will be a formidable 'ace' to have come September. :D

Very difficult to find 3 to be dropped.

Gwilt, Allen, Eddy perhaps.

Removing Gwilt from the backline means either BJ or Gram are back on the half back line in Gwilt's spot.

Allen needs some confidence, has done all of the team things required of him, and knows what AFL footy is about now. Back to the VFL this week.

Having King and Gardiner against the more potent ruck combination against the Hawks is a must, regardless of the flexibility you lose.

Dropping Eddy is a tough one, he had opportunities to kick 2 goals, and set up others. Tackles really well. IMO it's a toss of the coin between Birss and Eddy, with Eddy having the recent AFL formline, but Birss is arguably a better matchup for Guerra.

Here was the round 15 team.

ST KILDA
B: Gram, Hudghton, Dempster
HB: Goddard, Gilbert, S.Fisher
C: McQualter, Dal Santo, Hayes
HF: Harvey, Riewoldt, Eddy
F: Jones, Koschitzke, Armitage
FOLL: King, Ball, Montagna
I/C: Gwilt, Blake, Milne, Allen
EMG: C.Gardiner, Fiora, Schneider

With my shuffling around, the team would look like this.

ST KILDA
B: Gram, Hudghton, Dempster
HB: Goddard, Gilbert, S.Fisher
C: McQualter, Dal Santo, Hayes
HF: Harvey, Riewoldt, Birss
F: Milne, Koschitzke, Schneider
FOLL: King, Ball, Montagna
I/C: M. Gardiner, Blake, Jones, Armitage
EMG: C.Gardiner, Fiora, Gwilt

Shouldn't need to drop three. M. Gardiner established himself as a best 22 player before injury and Birss has earned a spot through good form. Those 2 are the only ones who deserve selection.

Schneider has played one good game for the year and it was against the bottom side. He should have to string 3 good weeks together for Casey before he's considered.

That may be your opinion but obviously not RL. Schneider was in the best today and was an emergency, Geary wasnt so Schneider would be ahead of him in RL thinking IMO.

Geez I reckon Eddy gave some hardness...perhaps more than Birss has...but Birss has been super consistent....

Tought times.....Im still not convinced Sneider is a wlak up start....

Allen/Gwilt need a rest IMO but DOES that lend itself to making us a little to predictable up fwd????? its either Kosi/Roo....we'd need another lead up target for mine.

Bakes twinge to the knee- hobbled off- but came back on and played out the second half
Birss got plenty of it in the second half- was everywhere- we thought he had more goals-
Raph's best qu was the third

overall scorpions second half was much improved on their first-
the tasmanians were big and strong- solid and not easily moved- Scorpions seemed slight compared

several scuffles throughout the match- Bakes in the middle of one and some guy was trying to knee his knee. - will be interesting to see if any reports laid.

plenty of saints players present including Khan and Josh Duncan( NSW rookie) Coach and CEO.

I think with Birss and Schneider in the side, as well as Koschitzke being forward more often, we're a 4 goal better side already.

Maybe...my worry is when the chips are down Eddy through his physicality and endurance can work himself into a game. Sneider becomes a liability. Birss does kick more goals than Eddy but I do reckon thats pure composure for Eddy and he'll get that over time.

X adds speed/tackle/hardness he has to come back in.

My worry is Baker. I no longer have him as a walk up to my best 22.....and thats not based on injury time out...
