Well at the start of the season he had (we think) 9149 possessions.
There is some confusion over his stats in his first 4 seasons.

I did some research on this.
See my comments in this old thread

http://www.saintsational.com/forum/view ... ossessions

To round 12 this year he has had 242.

So that makes 9391 and rising.

One more year would see him break 10,000 and become the greatest Brownlow vote getter of all time.

I already asked that question in about 2005...

I got a correct answer

It was Round 11 1998 against Richmond at Waverley Park the crowd was 71,488

It was actually 48.

Lost all 14 games in the first year of the VFL in 1897
Then lost all 17 games in 1898.
Followed up with another 17 losses in 1899 to make it 48 on the trot.

But R1 1900 v Melb at the Junction Oval it all came to end.
Well, sort of.
The game was played on Saturday.
But it was declared our win on appeal later in the following week.
Seems the goal umps hadn't correctly recorded a score on the 3/4 time siren.

Just as well Demetriou/Anderscum weren't around then or it would have been 76 losses before we had our first win in R12 1901 against Carlton at the Junction Oval.

Fraser Gehrig played his first AFL game against the Saints in Round 1 1995. Which three 100+ game players made their debut for the Saints in the same game?

found an interesting stat whilst browsing
this is probably something that happens more than recorded but for some reason in the stats list I have just seen there is a list of captains for each club over the years

IN which year did we have 9 Captains

clue; in recent years.

for extra judos
and who were they--

no-

obviously in this year concerned the players were actually listed somewhere as having captained for it having had to be recorded.

What was the year 2002/2003? that we had the ridiculous run of injuries and played that superflood game against Sydney?

I can only assume that we had a succession of weeks where the previous week's captain joined the injury list along with his predecessors?
