If reports on here are correct about his game today then he doesn't deserve a call up

On that performance, he doesn't deserve to come back yet.

But then, on his recent performances, he didn't deserve to be dropped in the first place.

The reason he was dropped can't have had anything to do with disposals, tackles, or any other straight metrics, because measured on those he's been one of our best this season, even though not at his own personal best.

For all we know, he was told to just spend the game sticking to a man, which means he deserves a callup (although it's not like his tagger made it hard for him to stick to his man).

I really wonder why some people follow our club. Why this hatred of certain players. Is it the old tall poppy. So Dal didnt get 30 possisions today but who says he sooked it. He was smashed everytime he went near the ball. I hope he did want the coach wanted and plays next week because with Lenny out we need him.

Plugger I don't have hatred for pretty much anything in life especially the St Kilda Football Club. It is looking more like Dal has been dropped for reasons that are above his head. If the reports on here are accurate about his performance today then he has clearly validated RLs descision to drop him. If Dal drops his bundle then I would think that most Sainst people are going to say tuff titties to him. I support the St Kilda football club, not Nick Dal Santo.

p.s. don't get me wrong I love the guy but he has to suck this up and respond to something within himself and the jumper.

Your bias against Dal Santo is clear, therefore i will take all your comments on his matter with a grain of salt

i'd be surprised f he stayed in the 2s any longer... at least for now.

Big game next week VS the Roos... winner in the 8. With Hayes and Ball hitting form my bet would now is the time for 1 last tilt

Ross has said that they are more interested in the process and finals aren't even being talked about so it will be interesting to see what that transcends into come selection night.

Anybody who doesn't want Dal to play doesn't want our best 22 to play. If you want to watch reserve grade players play, go watch the Scorps. Out of the kids we've played, several of them are clearly not ready yet. For some reason, if you're under 21 you get a free pass on here. How does selecting kids who haven't done anything bring credibility to the selection process?

I reckon Plugger's got it in one - too many people here want to see heads rolling because we're not living up to expectations. There were some people who even suggested Roo should have got the axe last week. Dal's been disappointing, but the coaches have the task of motivating him and getting the best out of him. If they can't do that, they should really be looking at themselves and wondering if they themselves are up to the task.

I'm with you these players can earn there spot in the side like everyone else . This sacred cow s--t is the reason we are where we are compared to the good teams. If RL is on the right track NO ONE has immunity including Reiwoldt, Hayes or whoever.

The sooner players understand they are selected on performance and not reputations and if they don't perform they're OUT the better we'll become and i don't care if we lose games first up till the message sinks in.

Why do we need Dal back next week?

Because Lenny may be out? He only played 1 quarter this week and we won.

Who you gonna drop to put pretty boy back in?

He was getting 20 disposals in the seniors.

It's a matter of how he gets them.

How did he get them today?

The 7 tackles is the most telling stat of the bunch. Based on that alone i'd see him back in the side.
