What ever the case, the whole situation has been brought to the fore, and it can be dealt with properly instead of swept under the rug.meher baba wrote:Will this work? Only if Dal is willfully or lazily failing to carry out Lyon's instructions. If it's a question of Lyon not being able to communicate effectively to Dal, or telling him to do things which don't make any sense or which he isn't capable of doing, then the problem is with Lyon, not Dal.
Does the Dal rumour have any backbone?

Exactly how hard is it to pick up your opponent when the opposition are in possession of the footy? Does a senior AFL player of 100+ games need to be told that week in week out, or else won't remember to do so?meher baba wrote:Will this work? Dal has never paid much attention to the defensive side of the game. Particularly this year it's often been his man playing loose on the fat side that opposition sides attack through, so it seems obvious that opposition coaches are aware of his lack of accountability and direct play through his direct opponent.
To be an elite player he needs to address this. He has the requisite talent; his dropping from the side should be a wake up call for him.

Hey if Carlton want someone from St Kilda they can have Ross Lyon.
I won't even ask them to give up Fevola.
I won't even ask them to give up a second round draft pick.
I will even give them a scond round draft pick if they take him off our hands.

Non performers belong at Casey.
That means Ross Lyon, John Barker and Anthony Rock should be coaching Casey this week.
