You beauty. The sooks will be woken up from their lack of enthusiasm and energy. Hopefully this wakes up our most talented list.
Come on Kids! show the overpaid sooks how to play in a Saints jumper.

Here are probably the worst 5 players for us against Sydney. Dal's 1 tackle and 5 frees against shows that perhaps he has some discipline problems or frustration.

NDS stats for 2008.
NDS 2008 stats.
average 22 touches a game
2.91 tackles per game
at St Kilda he is
no. 3 for kicks
(schneider is no.11)
no.9 for marks
(shneider is no.11)
No. 4 for hard ball gets
(shneider not on the list of top 12)
no. 3 for hand balls
(schneider no 15)
No. 4 for tackles (behind monty, ball and lenny)
(shnedier is no. 11)
his 2008 form by final siren is rated ABOVE his 2007 form, and only 4% behind his peak form in 2005 and 2006.
if you are gonna drop players, then try and drop the ones that are rubbish and not the good ones.

So this is another negative move? I love it well done. We're saying RL needs to make a statement and play the kids , seasons over anyway etc etc maybe this will send a shock wave through the side instead of dropping the same bottom end players week in and out being predictable and make the higher level players feel safe being complacent at 50% effort .
The lower end of the 22 know they have to fight for their spot and the higher players know they're safe as long as they perform a bit better. In fact i think he should each week keep rotating a couple of the higher end players not pulling their weight and playing to their ability ie Milne , Kosi etc till they feel totally insecure with lack of performance.

Re: NDS stats for 2008.
Dan do you have stats for dogs, cats and hawkes players because right now comparing most players in our team on any measure only against players in our team is looking at it wrong.Dan Warna wrote:NDS 2008 stats.

All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.
I can look them up for you but there are all there on a number of websites, final siren, the link of the bottom of the players page at wiki, etc.The_Dud wrote:what about Ball and Hravey's stats?Otiman wrote:Here are probably the worst 5 players for us against Sydney. if Dal Santo is dropped after a solid season and 1 bad game, while lesser players like dumpster and schneider are retained, then the club has lost its marbles.
it smackes of timmy watson prefering tony delany and tony francis in teh centre square over robert harvey (HBF) and nathan burke (BP) in the late 90s

Tough calls need to be made and this is one of them. I don't think Dal is being dropped because of his disposals or his performance, imo its more of a thing that he doesn't try as hard as other players like Blake who is giving his all. I believe Lyon wants every player to give their all and doesn't look at performance that much thats why same players are always in and out.

lyon is clearly clueless
on the assumption this is true, clearly Timmy2 has abolsutely no idea
i shudder to think what will happen to this club if this guy is still in charge at trade time
at the moment the present board is innocent of any wrong doing, after all it was the previous board that appointed Timmy 2, however if they dont remove him at the earliest opportunity they will be compounding the blunder - after all fancy acting on a Robert Walls recomendation - what WERE they thinking?

perhaps its just rumour mongoringMr Magic wrote:Interesting questions st.byron - I was thinking the same thing.st.byron wrote:Does anyone have confirmation of this, or is it just a story in the Hun online?
If it is true how come St.Kilda's selection decisions are public knowledge before the team is announced?
dropping dal santo is not a positive move.
could be just a something thrown out there by the media?

Something to consider.
OK for Dan and others to complain about dropping one of our best, but is he performing up to his pay packet.
No point in comparing apples with oranges. I'm sure Dal is being paid probably twice as much as Schneider (probably more).
It's not just a matter of performing better than the worst of our best 22, it's a matter of doing your job to the best of your ability.
Dal has not done that this year.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell
yeah dal santo is laying way to many tackles, not waving his hands in the air enough, going and getting hard balls instead of sheepdogging packs and kicking the ball forwards instead of safe kicks backwards.
clearly spending way too much time not following the designated game plan.

What rubbish, pick the best 22 every week, forget the pay packets, they matter when contract negotiations come up...!Bernard Shakey wrote:Something to consider.
