Are you talking about his field kicking? He got 3 goals yesterday, also a couple bags of 2 throughout the year...I think you're being a bit harsh.

His skill level has improved considerably since last season, so i dont know what you have been watching. His awkward kicking style will never change, but to say you cant improve your skills at 23 is ludicrous

have to disagree with BigMart.
i think anyone can improve skill levels no matter their age....if u do something enough times and work at it.....probability says u have to improve.

20 touches, 6 clearance, 3 inside 50's, 3 tackles and a behind.
he'll keep his spot and deserves to do so i reckon.....we be a regular starting 22 in the future hopefully....just needs to keep working hard...

I don't think his skill level is as bad as many make it out to be. Has an awkward style and finds himself under pressure often. It's not Goddard-esque, but it's not Jack Daniels-esque either.

As for not improving after you're 23, I guess Nick Riewoldt will always be destined to shank kicks at goal from 30m out.

50-75 games sounds about right though.

It takes about 150 to 500 practise hours to alter a closed skill (depending on skill/ability level) - so it becomes natural...automatic

Under pressure someone will generally revert back to their natural technique......

The pace and pressue of AFL footy....and the fact that all the skills are open and under different circumstances, makes it very difficult to improve skills after 7-10 years of playing footy.....easier to improve L.Van Renan for instance....

If skill level could be improved dramatically....why were J.Daniels, A.Dunkley, K.Tenace, A.Carrazzo and a bucket load of others who cannot kick - much better

CJ has physical presence, which at the moment, is something that the saints sadly lack. He will chase, tackle and put his head over the ball. Reminds me a bit of Tim "Pecker" Pekin. Should be a serviceable 150 + player.

Great hard and in under player, could very well be the kind of player along with Armitage to complement the midfield.
