Melbourne is the closest I can get (in 1983)
They had:
Peter Moore played 83-87 (won in 79 playing for wobbles)
Kelvin Templeton played 83-85 (won in 80 playing for footscray)
Brian Wilson played 82-90 (won in 82 for melbourne)
and Gerard Healy played 79-85 for Melbourne but didn't win until 1988 when he was playing for sydney
Four Brownlows (actually already won) - I'd like to see that.
North had 3 in 1984 (Greig, Dempsey and Glendinning) - Blight retired in 1982.
In 1981 North actually had 5 players who had won or who would go on to win the medal (including Brian Wilson played 80/81 won 82 at melbourne and Glendinning played 78-86 won in 83).
Fitzroy had 3 in 1937 (Bunton, Smallhorn and Ryan)
Stewart (65,66), Smith (67) and Howell (59) played for the Saints in 1968

Im pretty sure it was changed when St. Kilda recruited Silvio Foschini and Shane Morwood in 1983...St Fid Jnr wrote:ok its my turn pls
what year was it when there was a new rule that players with 10 years service with 1 club were free to trnsfer to another club with no trnasfer fee?
we found a loop hole and the league bannished the rule... so it may have officially changed in 1984???
They walk amongst us...

The question re: 4 x Brownlow medallists - I'll try North Melb around 81-82 I think with Dempsey, Greig, Blight and Glendinning??
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

HSV has said that I was right with Brad Hardie, he won in 1985
left to play for Brisbane 87-91
then Collingwood in 92-93
Iv'e checked and I don't think it can be Bulldogs, Brisbane or Collingwood,
thats why I've asked if it was a State/State of origin side?????
if it was WA - Glendenning, Hardie and maybe Graham Moss but don't know who else.........

If we are looking for 4 Brownlow medallists who played in the same team / same game and Hardie was one of em' - then I'm stumped. The WA state of Origin team had Hardie and Glendinning in it together, but stuffed if I can name anyone else. Hardie did not play for Victoria as far as I know - if he did, then that could be the answer.
