No its worse than that.saintspremiers wrote: Also, re the loadings issue - a player gets a 10% loading if he has a 1 week suspension in the last 5 years.....Goodes had only a reprimand (ie less than 1 week), so no loading.....perhaps an sensible ammendment would be a 5% loading for a reprimand??
So......the MRP go the lenient charge on Goodes, and he's off the hook again!
He was given a week and had it reduced to a reprimand because of an early guilty plea last season.
Now he is given a week again, offered a discount to a reprimand for an early plea and NO LOADING becuase last year's week was reduced to a reprimand through an early plea.
The 'logic' is absolutely breathtaking.
What does it remind you of?
Maybe the definition that a strike 40 metres behind the play was in fact 'in play'?
Just found a new Facebook group that is obviously amateurish but is passionate about how much of a joke the AFL is - http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2 ... 0093172244 - Adam Goodes is a protecetd species and the AFL is a joke.
2010 has a nice ring to it.

When Baker had 3 weeks added to his penalty re Farmer incident (that no one saw!) this was because of his poor record.
At the time I thought it was said to be any offences for the last three years, which is why the "attempted strike" was included from more than a year before.
The attempted strike cost him 2 weeks -obviously more serious than Goodes actually hitting a player in the head.

One year will be our year
The attempts to protect Sydney and 'marquee' players is astounding.
the AFL continues to sweep this rubbish under the carpet to keep the outer polish shine on the wood, while the actual wood is rotten to the core.
Im 100% certain that the AFL would have continued to cover up Cousins had he not gone into meltdown and the AFL is fully aware of numerous breaches of its codes rules and policies but continues to stick their heads into the sand to protect its 'brand'
Goodes = sydney's image = $$$$
