King is fit. Was dropped for balance and we were told another little lie about an injury.saint66au wrote:In: Harvey, Mini, King/McEvoy (depending on fitness)
Out: L Fisher, Gwilt, Blake
Dempster did a good job on Cooney and Ferg did no worse than the rest of our forward line (and was played in defence for part of the game anyway)
CJ, Armo and Geary must be persisted with.
If King doesnt come up and Rix plays I will scream. He's livng breathing proof of the chasm of difference between AFL and VFL footy.
Oh..if X comes up he's in for Schneider.

Kosi is likely to miss.
If we give Blake the chop, who is going to play CHB?
Schneider obviously has the backing of the coach, and he'll play against his old club no matter what!
Leigh Fisher will probably be dropped, and this may be McQualter's chance, especially on a small ground where his short kicking won't be a disadvantage
If Gwilt goes out, then his obvious replacement is X.Clarke, but apparently he's hurt his hamstring AGAIN. Baker is also injured.
So, who is realistically available from Casey? McQualter, Howard, R.Clarke.
Wow, we've just got heaps of options, haven't we?
Based on all this, I can see the following changes.
Out: Koschitzke, L.Fisher
In: KIng, Harvey.
The only other possibility I see is tha Gwilt goes out for either McQualter or R. Clarke.
Shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic??????????

ahhhhh ffs.
as much as i like him when he is up and going he just cant get that body right huh....
i wouldnt drop grammy this week....he might not lay to many tackles but he actually did something this week and prob deserves to keep his spot.
if mini is killing them in the reserves then give him a go......
cant see gwilt getting any more chances huh

The team I would like to see for the rest of the season would be this:
S.Fisher Hudghton Geary
Gram Koschitzke X.Clarke
R.Clarke Hayes Dal Santo
Gilbert Riewoldt Montagna
Milne Ferguson Goddard
Gardiner Ball Baker
Inter: Armitage Harvey Blake (2nd ruck) Birss
Now, I know a couple of those guys are injured at the moment, but hey, it's my preferred team, assuming all but Maguire are fit.
Players I definitely don't want to see in are:
Schneider
Fiora
Dempster
Rix
I'd like to see these players be given 4 or 5 games:
Allen
Howard
S.Fisher Hudghton Geary
Gram Koschitzke X.Clarke
R.Clarke Hayes Dal Santo
Gilbert Riewoldt Montagna
Milne Ferguson Goddard
Gardiner Ball Baker

gwilt got it more then alot of the other players on the list.Enrico_Misso wrote:Well Gwilt certainly proved something today.
He can't get it.
And when he does he turns it over.
I suspect that will be his last AFL game - ever.
fergo, the guy everyone on here seems to love.
and the nice 2 tocuhes for the whole game!
and he only got those touches in the back line
he was moved to the back like coz he was playing like a hack up foward.

Agree with plugger 66.
"Machete" is not what is needed and bringing up young guys just for the sake of it is just not worth it.
Let them earn their spot, not just go younger cos we think every other team has and that works.
Drop guys who are not performing but unfortunately team balance also needs to be taken into account.
