I know it's bad we lost today guys. But remember, just a few years back we shook the world by winning 10 in a row. We even have a DVD to commemorate it. None of the sides this year have done that, no matter how talented they are.
And remember, we pumped Melbourne last week. Footscray are a pretty good side, I reckon we are still a top 4 side, we just need to sit the boys down and make them watch that DVD, it's one of our proudest moments.

We are no where NEAR a top 4 side, and not even a top 8 side , sorry. And the fact there was A DVD come out of the so called streak is a worry in itself. Im tipping you wont see a dogs/hawks DVD coming out this year celebrating their "streak". Its symptomatic of what is wrong with thsi club.
Remember also, in 04 during this streak, staff moved stuff around the trophy cabinet to make room for the 04 premiership cup!
Now it was only staff, and nothing to do with the players, but you get my drift?

It scares me how many people think "The Streak" was something we can hang our hats on.
It was four years ago.
Since then flags have been won by P.A., WCE, Sydney and Geelong.
I don't see STK among that group, sorry.
"The Streak" finished about 90 games ago, and a hell of a lot has changed since that purple patch.
Unfortunate that "we" revere that DVD as an achievement.

Re Geelong's streaks.....
Starting at R6 last year to R20 they won 15 on the trot.
Then they lost to Port in R21
Starting at R22 till R8 this year they won a further 12.
And then lost last week in R9.
That puts our "10" in perspective.
And it includes September.

After losses to Geelong, Collingwood and the Bulldogs twice that is a pathetic and ignorant viewpoint. We havn't even played Hawthorn yet.
I reckon we are the best team, capable of beating everyone.....But clearly, week after week, im proven wrong.
ATM we are not a top 8 side.

Yeah but it's not that bad. I don't know why everyone talks about this 'window' anyway. We've already proved we can win 10 in a row. We can just start winning at round 15 and blow the league away. Everyone here knows how good we can be when we are on our game. I'm sure I'm not the only one here with the DVD.

Since then ... nothing we have gone backwards.
The DVD boxset costs close to $100, i would only get it if i was given the money.
Great time for us and i cant see us getting close to replicating that anytime soon.

They never got to see Robbie Muir play only heard the bad side. They also missed out on Cowboy, Rex Hunt, Trevor Barker, Gary Sidebottom in full flight, Breen, Duperouzal, Mordi Bromberg, The real Joffa Cunningham, Greg Burns and a plethora of others. The past is never a waste of money. Great players and teams will always be good to watch.

Maybe not a proper movie session like GT did. But maybe a few views of The Streak will get the passion back in the boys. Don't they know what they represent.
