At times, he really does let the whole team down with his kicking.

If he could actually kick straight, he'd be the perfect captain.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

He needs to step down as captain and concentrate on playing only. It's helped other players in the past. Look at Ball this year.

I'm sorry I'll probably get blasted for this view but I know I'm not alone.

Constant disappointment is not a good quality of a captain.

Go saints..

I can't see how anyone could dispute what you say.

Yep did the same thing against the Lions. He missed a sitter early on in the game, his head and all of his team mates heads dropped and never came up. Same thing has happened today and whilst I'm only listening to the game I can tell Roo's head has dropped because I haven't heard his named called since the shank(s).

Yep & yep. That moment against the Lions is when our run & attack stopped. Still the team is pissweak as well, no mental strength.

He's either injured, or yes completely lose confidence.

What's wrong with his captaincy? Sets a fine example on and off the field.

By missing goals at critical times and crushing the hard work of the team Mike!

Not good enough for a captain.

EXACTLY! He can hardly call himself a forward let alone a Captain at the moment.

If he could kick he'd be handy as a forward but at the moment Can't Kick, Cant Captain!

Hayes getting smashed as well!

Post: # 582042Post WinnersOnly »

CROSS has 17 touches and plenty of clearances to HAYES 8...

SAINTS just dont have sufficient running power to compete with the stronger teams...

I think he is a fine captain. Aside from his accuracy, he ticks all the boxes for me.

Spot on.

Never understood how any AFL footballers are unable to kick a goal from 40 out.

maybe thats the problem. even if he cant kick goals, he will still get his $800,000, so it doesnt matter to them

should pay him per goal. you're more hungry for it when you're broke.

800k/annum sheeez your kidding. He should give some back or F*** barker off and help buy the club a forward coach or kick coach or shrink or who ever it might be that can help him kick the thing over a jam tin and then over a jam tin and between two rubbish bins set 20m apart. Once he's mastered that then let him have a go at the big kid's stuff again. Gotta step aside as Captain for mine.

People on the radio (3AW) saying he cannot practice goal kicking during the week because he is injured. I think they are saying that he has been carrying a knee injury.
