milney044 wrote:well mines pretty obvious - im a milney fan and its 044 because i forgot the password to my original milney44 and instead of making a whole new nickname just added the 0 to make the change unnoticeable.. im still interested to hear where the "brat" came from sb
I did start this thread with the fact that 'some' are obvious- - still waiting to hear where all the "icemen' came from though.

many who have gotten to know me over the years have figured out the 'brat'
Maybe that could be another thread :P

I actually started my saintly internet life as someone completley differant
but ran into the ' your names the same as mine' - was very similar- but we both ended up changing anyway.

the 'brat' makes perfect sense and has similar beginnings to many others on here- But I was new to forums and would have added something if I created it now.

Whereas Enrico Misso is just such a great name.
And many more people would remember him from the 80s.
And I remember watching him playing heaps of games for us in the twos.
And I was at his only game, though I have no recollection of him playing it.
But I found my footy record of the match, and he scored a point.

So Enrico I am !
You really are a bona fide Saints tragic aren't you Enrico? I take my hat off to you. The fact that you've still got the record is one thing, but the fact that you marked down Enrico Misso's behind is a classic.

I was born in Wales, and came to Australia with my family when I was in Primary school.

Cwrcyn is a word for the a male gender of a particular animal. For those middle-aged forumites, I'll give you a clue:- Clive Lloyd.

That's correct.

However, I'm not a BIG cat like Clive. I'd look like a malnourished kitten next to the great man.

2 great passions in life, Saints and music.

Some on here would know who my favourite musician is.
The location and sig gives it away.

If I could ever work out how to put an avatar on, it would be more obvious.

Mine is a nickname a co-worker gave me a long time ago.

The first part comes from my initials. (IC)

The rest I think is because if you apply some heat I melt

When I tried to first sign up it said Iceman was taken (?) so I added my PO Box number to the nick.

Easy to remember.

In honour of the great Collingwood man Joffa Corfe.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

OK time to fess up, not after Joffa Corfe, he is just another imposter trying to steal Jeff Allens nickname from the 1960's kids TV programme "The Tarax Show".

Jeff Allen was known as Joffaboy, and all males of a certain age and name in Melbourne usually get the nic of Joffa (just like Joffa Burns).

So there.

to be honest not 100% sure where it came about, i was never really into the online forums until a couple of years ago, vflfooty.com was my first one. I was iceman as i thought it's a good one as it's reasonably anonymous.

(and also how i wish i could play footy as a kid  )

Well what is mine all about -

Back in the mid 90's a comedy show on TV called Full Frontal involved Erica Bana playing the character of "Poida". So while working at a particular company at the time this show was on and because my name is Peter one of the girls in the office started calling me "Poida".

Internet had just started to blast off in the early 90's and so with emails, user names and passwords I needed to come up with some names.

I decided to change the spelling of "Poida" and used Pwoiter as it sounded the same. I had this for a while but then decided to shorten it to just Pwoit [Pete].
And if you want to go through the 6 degrees of separation to find out the relevance to St Kilda, Eric Bana is a mad Saints Fan :)

Side Note: The avatar I have is Pepsi Max in Thai - I love Pepsi Max and love Thailand - some will know my affinity with Pepsi Max,and a particular Port Adelaide player
