forum nickname question- why your choice?
it struck me that we have three posters who use 'ice'- or 'iceman' as part of their user name/ nick on here/
is there a significance with St kilda I am unaware of or was it just apersonal choice- which led me to wondering why you chose the nickname you did?
some are obvious- surnames, st kilda referances, but some or more obscure.

Mine is derivation of my surname. Which I continued using because it was my username at Bigfooty.

Mine is because I was an avid reader of this forum and its predecessor since it began, and a number of other web forums for years , but only ever felt that I "liked to watch" until relatively recently and never made a post anywhere.
Meher Baba took and ket a vow of silence for many years, so I thought it was an appropriate (if obscure) nickname, which I use on lots of forums on the web.
Of course, now I suffer severely from online verbal diarrhoea, and I am sure there are many people who read many forums who wish I'd followed the real Meher Baba's advice and stuck to my vow of silence!!

Mine is because my grandfather on my mother's side supported the saints, my mother supported the saints and now I support them, well have since we arrived here in Melbourne in 1965.
My mother was a war bride who met my father here in Melbourne early 1942 and went to the US to live with him in 1947.
I was born in New York state hence why I support the Mets and the current Superbowl champions the Giants.
As for my father, well the only team he really supported was the Orangeman from Syracuse University.
When it was decided we would return to Australia, my mother drummed into us that we had to support St.Kilda, which we did except for my older brother who decided to support Essendon.
It gets worse with him, he is now living in LA (which is handy for inexpensive holiday and visiting Disneyland) and he's a big Yankees fan.

Thought saint66 was pretty catchy as a Hotmail addy, but it was taken, so I chucked the au on the end..and it stuck thru to my nick here..and a few non-footy (and pretty much non-Aussie) related Forums where they must scratch their heads in wonder
