Been asked a trivia question
What is unique about charlie clymo and in what year did it happen?

Can anyone help with this?

In 1931 he coached the cats to a flag.

It was his only year as a league coach, making him the only man to have a premiership from just one year as coach of a team.

He was also a member of the saints first finals team in 1907.

He invented a motor mower that levitated itself off the ground by means of an air current generated by its rotating blades. The effect was if it was floating on a cushion of air, making it very light to manouver over surfaces.

Unfortunately, because of an un-noticed printers error, the mower was marketed under a slightly different name and he never got the recognition he deserved. :(

Not sacked, but was not popular (according to R Davis anyway). Liked the farm too much apparently.

I had a Flymo once, it was good for grass that didn't grow.
