That's near enough.
It used to be that if you played for Victoria and were forced to miss a club game, that game was included in your tally.
Somewhere along the line that policy was changed and Breen's tally was adjusted from 301 to 300. A mate of mine said he saw Keith Greig's 300th game but Greig is now credited with less than 300 games.

Yes he celebrated his "300th" game but it was actually his 299th for St.Kilda.
The final game that he played for the Saints, with no real fanfare that I can remember, was actually his 300th.
