Don't give away draft picks.
One could argue to trade players for draft picks.
Uncertain times comin with 17th and 18th licences and the draft.

All depends on the cost. As a player he'd add significantly to our playing group; an elite running and inside midfielder is just what we need.

But at what price, both in trade terms and salary cap terms ...

Hurts to say, but I'd trade Ball and throw in Raph.

We have a premium in and under in Hayes, and a great one coming through in Armitage. Need Montagna's speed and Dal's skills.

Ball would be worth a bit in the market. It would release some $ as well.

Kerr is a star and still go a lot of footy in him.

hate to burst your bubble guys

your getting you info from Hutchy
Kerr has no intentions of leaving west coast he is currently negotiating a contract with westcoast he wants a 5 year contract but westcoast are pushing him for a 3year .

Kerr is very much a mummys boy and i couldnt see him leaving his home state unless his family went with him (also unlikly to happen now his father is working in the WAFL )

Getting Kerr is a good pipe dream. Would be a terrific inclusion.

not going to happen if we wanted out of WC the only place he would consider is Freo . the bloke is a perth boy and rumour at the time of his draft he was very upset at the phantom drafts that had him heading east

I would hate to lose Daniel Kerr

We only just got Ebert & Masten into the side this year to help rebuild after Cousins and Judd and neither of them have the game breaking ability of the big 3.

if we were to go for Kerr... well trading 1-2 midfielders for a star midfielder ain't going to help our depth... would have to offload a KPP

Gilbert + a first round?

Nope Blues offered him 3 but he wants to sign for 4 and apparently wont take anything less.

I reckon Kerr would be a great inclusion but I would be cautious in our offer. Obviously (as with previous years) Roo, Bally, Dal and BJ will be the first players any opposition would ask for in terms of a trade. I wouldnt be willing to give up any of those.

IMHO West Coast would be wanting a lot for him and im not sure it would be worth giving up an elite player who is established here plus a draft pick for a player who might take a season and a half to get used to the weather, team, club and style of St Kilda.

The best trade IMHO would be Fiora, Montagna and a second round pick for Kerr and a third/fourth round pick
