all i want to do is become a member of hawkbored.net its not like they dont need the members no one ever goes there but everytime i try to sign up they just delete me i dont know how they can tell it is me signing up they all think they are pretty smart over there like they are some kind of cultural elite well they are pretty smart they keep working out that i have tried to join so i spose they are justified in thinking that oh well dudes i will just keep trying maybe i should try a different name yes that is a good idea ill do that

This is a non-profit site, which as far as i'm aware operates at a loss. For people to use it to increase revenue for their company, I don't think that's ethical.

For example, say I work for "Joe Bloggs Office Supplies", and every so often, I post a thread linking to my website that has staplers and folders with players pictures on them.

Fair enough if it's a third party saying "Hey, these are cool. I bought some and my daughter loves them" but if it's the person with interests in that particular company, then i've got a bone to pick.

I just don't agree that if the person's prime motivation is outside of this board that they should be promoting it here.

If it was just an occasional casual reference as part of their posting....then fair enough. Nothing subtle about her post..it was a direct ad.

Miss Saint had not been posting here...but breezed in when her HS started....and hence this string..and her post.

I have no problem either CP or Miss Saint doing HS blogs. They would seem to both want media careers and so good luck to them.

But I cannot agree that they should come on this site where promoting their blog is mainly what they are doing.

Also note that is was not Miss Saints alone..

But Attard's Army (who has 2 posts only) who at about the same time (April 9 )posted..

actually hawkboard.net used to be a forum, years ago. it was closed down just after finals in 2006.

Better informed? Are you sure about that? Since I started visiting I have read 460 calls for the coach to be sacked, 895 calls for sacking the entire list, etc, etc. Haven't seen too many errors in the Herald Sun.
