ANNOUNCEMENT: Player Sponsor’s Dinner on Wednesday April 3

As part of the Sainsational Players sponosrship of Geary and Gilbert we have been given the ‘right’ to purchase an additional 4 tickets to this event @$125 per ticket.


It is proposed as time is short that any Player Sponsor who would like to attend list their interest here.

You need to lodge your interest by this Sunday...so that on Monday we can allocate places.

If you win in the Prize Draw on Friday Night the Sponsors Dinner you will be excluded if we have more interest than the 4 tickets as we wish to spread the fun amongst as many sponsors as possible..

Sponsors who win the the BF or match day tickets will also be excluded, but after the Sponsor Dinner Winners.

If we have more than 4 sponosr binterested we will raffle it to secure the 4 names.

At this stage it will be one ticket per sponsor unless there is lack of interest. Again the idea is to spread the fun...and you will have other SSers to network with on the night.

It is a dinner for all player sponsors with the the players...and I dare say coaches.


Each player sponsor has 2 tickets per player and can buy another two.
*We are rafflling 4 tickets and are selling the extra 4 (which have to be bought at $125 each)

So it is only a smallish gathering.

I will see if I can get a more precise defintion.

dissapointing that not all players were sponsored.and maybe the reason that a few more tickets are available.

It is an 'intimate' night and they are expecting about 120 people.

sRr has arranged for a 'raffle' draw during halftime tonight for the prizes (including the 2 pairs of tickets to this Sponsor's Dinner).

All winners will be posted in the Sticky thread re Sponsorship.
The winners of the 2 pairs of tickets to this event will be posted in this thread and then those who didn't win (or if the winners wish to purchase more) can nominate for the 4 extra tickets that are avaialable to be purchased @$125 each.

If more than 4 members nominate then sRr will arrange another 'raffle' to determine who can purchase those 4 additional tickets.

how much does it cost to sponser a player???????
i know the angels fundraising group used to sponser some players but were told to direct their funding towards membership tickets for the disadvantaged = more members less sponsers!!!!

I can understand that request always_a _saint- and having heard how some other clubs 'increase' their membership numbers not a abd way to do it.

and kids memberships or basic ones are a good way to make a donation

the angels still sponsor 3 players- I don't know at which level

this year there were 3 levels available-

to me it's really good value- if you can afford it- each dinner ticket is valued at anything from $125- $250 and you get two of each for each event- so thats about $1,000 of value there alone- 3 events
and and memorabilia item- which if a framed jumper can be aluedued at anything from $400- 600

You're always welcome to join our group sponsorship.
This season we are sponsoring 2 players, with membership costing just $15. Hopefully for next season we will be doing something similar. You could join in for any multiple of $15 and then be eligible for our own raffle of the prizes amongst teh Sponsorship Group members.
