poor effort by the club
they should send an email to all the members letting us know when the games will be played at the club.

Plugger66, Still A **&## poor effort from the club though. Do you even think they realise the dangerous ground we now sit on re our supporter base. Look at the posts on this forum, and others, listening to talk back, we ARE going to take a big hit in crowds if things dont drastically improve pronto.
And not opening up the social club aint helping things.

SO you are saying that they now have Foxtel connected but failed to show the game????? VERY poor effort of so..even if they'd had it in the pokies room.plugger66 wrote:They had no excuse for not showing the game as they now have Foxtel so I cant see why it wasnt on. Having said that I doubt many would turn up with the way we are playing.
We are in this situation again a month from now when we play Brisbane and the game AFAIK is on Foxtel. If once again the Club doesnt come good, the Rosstown Hotel in Carnegie is not a bad viewing place. Theres a area in the TAB but away from the actual betting area that has numerous chairs tables and stools and a plasma on the wall. The sounds turned up and the bar is nearby. On Sat night there were about 20-30 of us watching, all Saints fans bar one Port person. We could barrack all we liked (and we did) and not annoy anyone else.
Oh and its walking distance from my house so no need for me to think about light beer lol

Perhaps someone from the club who reads this can come on and post why.Eastern wrote:Has anyone bothered to ask the club WHY? !!
Pathetic effort by our club, just not good enough.
Anyway, I reckon we should make the Rosstown Hotel our new base for watching the foxtel games - far nicer than Moorabbin and guaranteed to be on the big screen there!

I think he's too busy being a yes-man to Demetriou.satchmo wrote:I believe that before he became President, Greg said that this was a problem that they would fix. Wonder what happened?
Selling our future down the river by agreeing to two extra teams.
He doesn't give a sh1t about the members.
Makes a huge decision like that without any consultation with us.
So why would he care about providing a service to the members during interstate games ?
Just let the Social Club facility stand idle when it could have been packed to the rafters.
Westaway is a disgrace !
His Presidency is NOT shaping up well.
I doubt Butterss would have rolled-over quite as easily Westaway !
And we certainly had coverage of Interstate games at Moorabbin when Buttarse was king.

I am an hour away and don't get to Moorabbin much but I must say if I wanted to go to the TB room at Moorabbin for an away game I would be bitterly disappointed with the club not putting it on for the members.
I voted SFF and I also thought it was a question that was originally asked of the new board - maybe mistaken but I thought it was an issue at the time.

None did.Bernard Shakey wrote:Enrico, just for the record, how many other clubs consulted their members on the proposed new teams?
And while we're at it, when did Butterss ever consult the members on anything?
They all caved in pathetically.
But just because there are 15 other insipid Presidents too scared of the consequences of standing up for what we all know is right, doesn't mean we shouldn't spare Westaway are wrath !
And the Social Club at least functioned under Buttarse.
