Gehrig & Fiora out, C Gardiner & Armitage in - CONFI
A very reliable source has informed me that Fraser Gehrig and Aaron Fiora have both been omitted from the side for the Essendon game.
And Luke Ball will play forward.
Not sure who the ins are or if there's any other outs.
I guess we'll have to wait til 5.30 to see if that's correct but as I said, the source is very reliable.

Poor decision if true about G.. As mentioned in another post, G has taken Lake (see:Harris) and Scarlett in the past 2 weeks, each teams top defender... This will now be passed onto Kos or Roo, and will make thier life tougher...
G wasnt great last saturday, but he wasnt the reason we lost... He was far from our worst...
As for Fiora, if he is not dropped this week there is something wrong.. He has been nothing short of pathetic this year, and much like Capuano, i would send him packing now.. papers stamped, never to play again...

why in the world would you drop Gilb... Did you watch last weeks game.. Do you see his tanacity, guts and second efforts... Aside from his 2 goals.. You have to stop reading the Herald Suns player ranking lists... Certain starter is Gilb...ralphysaints35 wrote:they have played good in the reserves ,fonz_#15 wrote:If true, i would bring in C.Gardiner and armitage but that is without seeing their performances in the reserves.
i would bring in schneider , charlie, armo, M.gardiner (if fit)
out,
harvey(injured) , Fiora, Blake, & gilbert

i would have made some space for him and kosi by moving riewoldt to wing, drifting forward.Sobraz wrote:Poor decision if true about G.
having said that any shake-up to the structure can't do any harm.
wonder if gilbert will get a run forward this week. i was impressed with the coolness with which he slotted a couple of nice goals last week
I wonder if G Train will consider retiring if he's dropped... I think he is a very unusual football player. He's come back to make a difference in the AFL, doubt he'd want to play in the VFL. But... he's an enigma. You never know.
(That is, if this rumour is true).

Bathwater's a bit dirty BigCarl, perhaps we should just lift the baby out for the moment and put some fresh water in?bigcarl wrote:i could name half a dozen others who were equally unimpressive. fiora was one of them. just don't throw the baby out with the bathwater is what i'm saying.fugazi wrote:So what if Fraser gets the best full back when they become the BOG for their team?

yea, its a tough decision whether g should be included or not but i think against Essendon i have a funny feeling bombers are bruised from injuries and will have trouble manning up against us.
It's just a thought but i think charlie should definitely included at the expense of fiora. And maybe even armoooo could be in the mix for selection. It would be great to see him selected against the bombers.
