I was born just a few days after the great Robert Harvey. So I'll be Kosi + Bally in late August - though my history as a Sainter is not as long and deep as my contemporaries here. I grew up in Sydney, playing and following rugby league. Manly Sea Eagles were my team. Met a girl from Melbourne in '95, she and her brother were Saints. In '97 I followed the red white and black for the first time in the GF the same weekend my beloved maroon and whites were playing off against the Newcastle Knights in the (then) ARL equivalent. I don't need to recount the Saturday result for you guys. My team got pipped in the final seconds on the Sunday. Moved to Melbourne early '98, East St Kilda, fell in love with the place (craps on Sydney) and the footy, well I never thought I would say it way back then but it IS a better game than rugby league and my love for the Saints is greater than my love for any sporting team I have followed in my life. It is inexplicable but it is REAL. After 10 years I feel that I have suffered quite a bit (the ridicule of opposotion supporters makes me fume like nothing else) - to those of you who have followed us since the 60's and longer, I pay tribute to your loyalty, to your enormous strength and character. May all our dreams be fulfilled in the very near future.

42 (Feb 66, barely remember the GF).

Got roped into playing hockey for StKilda U8s down by the lake by like minded group at Cheltenham Heights Primary (now Le Page). The name link led me to follow the Sainters. Sometimes I dream of the Premership joys if only I had played with Hawthorn or Essendon!!!!

Moved to Rowans Rd and would walk to the ground each home game. I still have a chuckle remembering Horsmunden St.

I parked my car in Horsmunden street for years during the footy season,park at 11 30 am on the Saturday morning of a home game and go in and watch the Reserves,hoping to see a star in the making,and then watch the main game.........

All too easy back then.....

67 (too close to 68). My parents used to take me to see the Saints (probably the Seagulls then) in a pram. My first hero was Keith Rosewarne.

Reached the wrong side of 50 last year !

Interesting to note the number of posters who grew up in the 60s not far from Moorabbin.
Didn't go to McKinnon High but went to Valkstone Primary which is nearby, just off Tucker Rd.
I still remember the buzz at school and in the neighbourhood (Bentleigh)when the Saints moved to Moorabbin.

I started at Eastmoor Primary in 1969 after migrating to Australia from the UK.
I came home from school and told my Dad that I needed to have a football team to support. Without thinking he said "St Kilda - they play just down the road"....and with that my Dad committed me to around four decades of misery and pain !!
