Sorry, but they are not repeat ARE NOT St Kilda supporters, they just play our song at games.

I have seen them at the Storm, Victory games, as well as at a Carlton Vs Melbourne game in Blues gear blasting out "We are the Navy Blues" for all they are worth.

They are just trying to make a buck out of you, like any other loser who asks you for money on the street.

If they weren’t doing that the costs associated with AFL would be just that little bit more because weekend/shift/overtime rates would then apply.

I’m far from perfect, but I have a very close association with someone who works a lot of these games, due to paying off his ex wife and putting his kids through school.

Every time some toss makes remarks like that about every incident they know nothing about, most times the Coppers just wink at each other and count another dollar.

If you don’t know about what was going on at the time, why put your comments in?

This thread is delivering...well done Ric, even though I completely disagree with you.

Just have a look at the guys body language after a loss and how they play the Saints Funeral March.

Surely, if they wanted to get a bigger paydirt they'd don the opposition gear and play the opposition "winning" song with gusto....just my opinion, but winners like supporting winners, and after a loss they seem to just receive sympathy coins from the odd few.

Take a look this Friday night after the Dons stitch us up and you'll see what I mean.

FWIW one of the buskers was sitting in about row F Aisle 20-21 and seemed to be pretty well into his support of the Saints, sitting with other Saints fans and barracking as we all would. I noticed he left about the 18 minute mark of the last, obviously to take up his position.

that back in the early 80s it was Ian Collins who moved a motion at the VFL to have the StKilda Football Club wound up.
No other club seconded the motion.

But Collins moved it.
Far as I am concerned he deserves to be treated with total contempt by all StKilda people.
For that and numerous things since.
No amount of personal suffering for him would ever be enough to satisfy me.
