How old are we all?

Post: # 547512Post happy feet »

I was just wondering how old the users fo this site are. I am 44 and grew up watching the Saints in the 70's and 80's. I remember the likes of Geoff Cunningham, Greg Burns, Gary Sidebottom, George Young and Trevor Barker. Standing in the cold at the Gilbeys Gin end of the ground. Good times. The hot jam filled donuts were sensational. Like everyone else, I am looking forward to that elusive premiership. My Dad worked for the club for years and turned 85 the other day. He was at the 66 GF. I fear that, like Harvs, he is running out of time to see another. Let's hope we get our acts together, and soon.

42 for me.

There was a thread about a year ago that listed the ages people were willing to own up to - it showed a lot of 15-25yo and a bunch of 35-50yo (and some older folk whose grandkids had hooked them up to the internet ).

It brought up the notion of our own lost generation - those whose formative team choosing years were driven by the glory years of the 80s (esp 83-86).

Grew up in the country and my first attendance wasn't til I was about 11. My brother bought me a scarf which I still wear to every game.

And mmmmm those donuts.

27. Fell in lovc with the Saints when we moved to Wheelers Hill in 1992... just a coincidence that I also fell in love with a certain Amanda who may have followed the Saints. That we nowhere but the love affair with the Saints is stronger than ever.

Have to deal with the big 50 next Jan

and thanks for asking

Probably explains my mostly tortured and pessimistic outlook[some hard yards :x ] and why if we ever win a flag my overwhelmingly thinking would involve the sheer relief about dying happy

I am 39.

Turning 40 at the end of August and have absolutely no idea what I am going to do.

Party / No Party T'is a real bugger really!!!!

Was hoping the Saints were going to make the finals and would have a great excuse not to do anything cause EVERYONE knows I can't miss the footy but after the last 2 games I strongly doubt it.

Can I just put it off for another year or two????
