Fully Ticketed Games and price hikes.

As a interstate member it's great to have free entry into 5 home games a year if i want to sit on level 3.

Can some1 please tell me why a ticket on the wing level 3 is costing me $20 for next weeks game against the dons but if i want to sit behind the goals level 3 it's free?

I no for non ticketed games u can sit anywhere u want on level 3 for free so why the price rise coz it's ticketed.

I no it's not a huge cost and it doesn't worry me as i usually sit level 2 but i couldn't get tickets for level 2 so decided to get level 3 wing.

Just seems strange to me.

The first 6 rows at telstra are reserved sitting, maybe thatswhat you were looking at.

However, for all members, due to our home game, it is free but the game is ticketed therefore giving you a specific seat

They set aside the front 6 rows on the 2 wings as reserved seats.
But given it is our home game I thought it was something like $6 for a member - $20 doesn't sound right.

Maybe the Moorabbin Wing just gets a better deal?

Thanks for the feedback guys yeah it's in the 2nd row so it's a reserve seat didn't realise they had the 6 row reserve seat system.

If you want free seats for all ticket games as a St Kilda member, the best I have been able to get is Row A in Aisle 31, which is around the Half Forward Flank. Not too bad, but you have to be quick and get your tickets at around 9am on the Friday 2 weeks prior to the all ticketed game. Try this for the Collingwood game if you can..it worked for me for both the Geelong and Essendon games.

I left my run too late for the cats game to book SC seats and missed out, so i had to settle for level 3 seats. I booked them on the net using my barcodes and was surprised to see that they cost me the grand sum of $0.00 ! Have ticketmaster done away with their "booking fee" that we used to get slugged for all ticket games (for tickets brought prior to match day) ??? Must of missed that

Interestingly, i booked my SC seats for the Bombers game and was charged $3.40 each (booking fee i assume).

They seem to have changed the rules from last year !

The front 6 rows of the Wing areas on Level 3 are now known as "Premium" seating, and attract a surcharge of about $11 +b/f

The front 6 rows of the MW bay (between 35 and 36) is now taken up with St Kilda Yearly reserved seating, with a few unsold seats. The bays around us are offered to the public at this "Premium" rate

At "All-ticket" home games like Saturday, this front 6 rows still attracts a Premium charge for Saints members (but funnily enough not AFL Members, its a sweetener from TD so that the AFL let them have this Premium seating). Rows G back and the flank/pocket areas of level 3 sont attract the Premium and thats why you were quoted the cheaper rate.

Just a quick question, Ive never been to a fully ticketed saints game as a member. I dont have a reserve seat, can I use my membership card and just stand down the bottom or do you still need to get a seat?

get on ticketmaster and get yourself a seat. Will cost you nothing (they have waved the charge for ticketed games). You don't have to sit in your seat but you wont get in on a membership card, only a ticket.

you think youve got it bad my father in law a Geelong member had to pay $29 for a ticket at skilled stadium and hes a member and cost the wife and myself $40 yet when we buy him a ticket to the saints match who hes not a member it costs him $28 and the wife and myself $3.00 !!! geelong memberships are hardly worth the paper they are written on ! where we in perth get 5 home games a TD for free and a free ticket to the eagles/dockers games in perth (depending on availability) Geelong members get a choice of a discounted entry to the perth games OR free entry to a geelong home game !!

I had a lot of trouble with ticketmaster last week about this for our game against the cats. Online it was fine - no fee. But when I was trying to ring through due to not liking the online seats they just kept insisting there was a fee. I rang the club about it and they said that there's no fee. Rang back ticketmaster who said there is. Luckily some decent seats became available online because they were adamant about me paying their ticket fees when I rang.

I've noticed for the dons game though that there is a fee when you purchase online.

Just a query on ticketmaster and the 'free' bookings for members for these 3 ticketed games.

Saints66au - I know you have some connections at TM and a very good understanding of the way it all works. I was wondering if you can answer this question for me or give me a contact name to ask for as the following scenario seemed quite ridiculous to me.

1 adult member, 1 student conc member, 1 child member, 1 child non-member. Went to TM and booked 4 seats - charged $17.05 for adult , $17.05 for conc, $8.90 for child member and $6.70 for child non-member. That's right the non-member was charged LESS that the member child. I have the tickets in front of me and they are Aisle 17 - row B. Are these considered 'premium' - if so fair enough but I thought they would be more pocket/flank. BUT, how was the non-member charged less than the member?

Aisle 17 is pretty much on the 50m arc on the Docklands side of the ground. It looks right on the edge of what TD call the "Wing areas" so yes, seats in Row B would attract the "Premium" charge. I cant tell you for certain because neither the TD or Tickemaster websites tell you exactly where the boundaries of these "Wing areas" area, but you have certainly been charged the Premium. Heres a map of TD seating, but as Ive said it doesnt indicate these "Premium" areas on Level 3.

Looking at the seating cost information I have, it looks like your child member is aged between 6-14 and your Child non-member under 6?? That would explain the price difference. If thats not the case let me know and I'll check it out with their Ticketing Dept

thanks for answering. These were not my tickets but one of our regular travellers that usually go up to level 3 so I didn't actually see where the seats were. I usually sit aisle 19 or 18 level 1 so I wouldn't imagine 17 would be much different on level 3, like you said, about 50m line, I wouldn't call that 'wing'.
The child member is 12, the non-member is also 12.

My main problem with this whole TM fiasco is that the staff aren't trained properly and say things like 'this is all that is available' and 'it's almost sold out', when you and I know that isn't true. The member in question travelled for 1/2 hour to book these seats and had to take what was offered. He has a point that he has paid for 3 memberships and if he wanted general admission he probably would have paid less, so what incentive does he have to stay a member?

Anyway, enough of this, I'm sure many others have similar issues with TM.
