Is there anything anyone can do in the weight room that would ensure that they could get up right away from a massive elbow to the head??Devilhead wrote: out X Clarke give him a break from the knock and get him into the damn weight room

I think we need to make several changes and look to player development.
We have had loyal players- who are no longer going to take us to the next level and so we need to look to player development. We do have a core though.
This means out:
Gehrig, Hudgeton, Clarke and Blake, Harvey
In:
C Gardiner, Schnieder, Armitage, M. Gardiner, Ferguson
Also C Jones is not up to it (yes great endeavour but not skillful enough) and if we learn anything from today from Geelong is that you must be skill ful to win.
We must also change our structure. At the moment our style is not giving a chance to win

In: M.Gardiner, A.Schneider, (Best Player Tonight From Casey), Geary
Out: J.Blake, A.Fiora, M.Maguire/C.Jones/X.Clarke
Gardiner and Schneider are no brainers if fit - Hopefully Armitage or Birss has a real solid game tonight and can push themselves into the side.
Blake was just woeful, Fiora did nothing...Maguire wont have an opponent next week, even if Lloyd is back/If they want to leave him in for match time then Jones even though he did fairly well or Clarke are the likely exclusions.
Geary could also return if he does well tonight

Out:
Jason Blake - Tries, but so did Tim Elliott. Is about VFL reserves level in skill, pace and decision making. Nowhere near good enough, even if the uber-optimists will support him to the death.
Clinton Jones - Geary's better at this stage.
Robert Harvey - if injured.
Xavier Clarke - if injured.
Sam Fisher - if injured.
In:
Adam Schneider - returning from injury.
Michael Gardiner - returning from injury.
Charlie Gardiner - Not the best kick but now so far ahead of Blake that it's impossible to compare the two. Allows us much more flexibility with Riewoldt and Koschitzke if we need to throw one into defence or the ruck.
David Armitage - because we need a midfielder to step up. Showed in the NAB Cup he's capable.
Jarryn Geary - Ahead of Jones. Offers more. Reliable.

How could anyone want to retain Gehrig or Fiora???????? Name one team in the eight at the moment that either would get a game with? It would be a joke to even consider them again this year. Replace them with a couple of goers whoever that may be. What we need is 22 players who will play hard contested football, not carry these two passengers week after week.

If Gehrig was playing for the Dogs, hawks or Cats, he'd be nearly winning the Coleman medalThe Sainter wrote:How could anyone want to retain Gehrig or Fiora???????? If we keep feeding him (Roo and Kosi also) rubbish, you can't expect him to kick you bags of goals
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.
SPOT ON... i cant stand it when posters blame G for losses... Any forward these days is only as good as their midfield supply... The forward entries ae rubblish at the moment, and that makes life very hard for G, Roo, Kos etc...The_Dud wrote:If Gehrig was playing for the Dogs, hawks or Cats, he'd be nearly winning the Coleman medalThe Sainter wrote:How could anyone want to retain Gehrig or Fiora???????? G-train is not the problem.
