I rate him up there with Glass, Scarlett and Rutten. Has the scalps of some of the best full forwards in the league, time and time again.

Brownless on SEN this morning - when they were discussing which player each team could simply not do or win a flag without - asserted that it was Max from the Saints.

Andy Maher had suggested Riewoldt and Franklin from Saints and Hawks... Billy corrected him with Hodge and Max.

No diss on Roo - but Max is our only true FB.

but unlike those 3, he can then front up and beat a Nathan Brown, Philip Matera type player the following week.

he beats those blokes for versatility.

yep, trashing phil matera was always a highlight for me.

yes he has had bad games, generally returning from injury.

folks often 1. look at his bad games, 2. judge him by his stats sheet.

really some folks at st kilda don't appreciate what he have. They too busy drooling over opposition players ><

max is a st kilda champion.

Destroyed Welsh last night.

Has now the scalps of Hall, Fevola and Welsh in three rounds.

Should be leading our B&F IMO.
