How about this - if it's the same John Beveridge.
1926
I got this from: http://www.fullpointsfooty.net/b.htm#Jo ... t%20Perth)
Probably not the same guy...and would make St Fid very, very old......
Actually...just found out that this guy...known as 'Jack' was actually John's father

when he coached me he seemed a bit older than our dad ... but I doubt he was 10 years older, though dad looks young for his age....
JB coached me in the under 13s and 15s and i was not good enough for his top side in under17s and I went to play a sunday comp with the parish priest as coach in the Under 17s (Fr Dillon) - who is well known in Girlong
it just might be the same person, because he always told me he played for the pies....
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!
More info on Beveridge...taken from an article in the Herald Sun
Still looking for details on John though....St Kilda recruiting manager John Beveridge would dearly love to see the Saints team he has helped put together halt the Lions in their tracks on September 25. There would be a symmetry about that, given his father, Jack, was a star centreman in all four Collingwood flags from 1927-30.
"I certainly would prefer the record stays with Collingwood," Beveridge said. "They were a great team. My father counted his blessings that he happened to be born in Abbotsford and happened to be a reasonable player in an era when they had so many great players."
If it is hard to compare teams of different decades, then it is impossible to compare teams from different centuries.
There are no survivors from the "Machine Team" and few people who can remember seeing it play. Only its imposing team and individual records stand as judgment.
Twelve Magpies played in all four flags – Syd and Gordon Coventry, Harry and Albert Collier, Frank Murphy, Harold Rumney, Jack Beveridge, Charlie Dibbs, Bill Libbis, George Clayden, Harold Chesswas and Bob Makeham. Brisbane has 15 players seeking a fourth consecutive flag this year.
