5 - X Clarke - in a game decided by the midfielders, he put up a score as well.
4 - L Montagna - So crucial to the saints ball movement.
3- L Ball - Wherever he was he won hard ball and tackled hard.
2 - M Hudghton - Did his stopping as we expect in spite of unforgiving umpiring, and had a lot of the ball for Max.
1 - S Milne - Wins out from Gram and Hayes on the strength of 4 goals, and from Gehrig on the posession count.
Honourable mentions - Hayes, Gram, Gehrig, S Fisher.
Great to win a game when the usual 3 (Riewoldt, Dal Santo, S Fisher) aren't the easy best 3. The Saints won handily last night, and were far from as good as they can be.

5 Ball - inspirational match turning tackles
4 Lenny - the clearance specialist
3 Max - answered his critics with another major scalp
2 Fisher - huge drive out of defence
1 X - playing well and has now taken that kamikaze aspect out of his game

My votes are probably a litle controversial but I applied them as to my viewing enjoyment, and the player's workrates.
5: Blake.. Worked to the absolute limits of his skill. If everyone on the team had of done that, it would have been a 200+ points win.
4:Hudghton... Max is the best fullback in the comp IMHO
3:Milney.. his tackling/harrassing has taken his game to a new level
2: Harvey: best 20-25m kick in the comp. Constantly hit running targets on the tit.
1: M.Gardiner... showed what a skilled ruckman is capable of... a saviour in defence, and contesting all over the paddock.

5 - Hayes - Set the example through the midfield with hardness and skill.
4 - Ball - His most consistent game in some time, though a quiet first quarter detracts.
3 - Hudghton - I love you, Max. Impossible spoils all over the shop.
2 - X Clarke - Three goals, hard-running, ball winning. Slowly becoming a midfielder.
1 - Montagna - Excellent link man but didn't win it as much as he sometimes does.
