The ULTIMATE trivia post!!!

Post: # 53342Post twaq »

OK... Ill post the first question, whoever answers correctly first will post the next question, whoever answers that question correctly will post the next question... and so on and so on!!!

In '96, a 26 year old Nathan Burke played his 200th senior game in that August. He was the fourth youngest player ever to reach the milestone. Name two of the three younger players.

Good Luck!!!

Burkey Must be one of the slowest to get 100 games in if he played 200th in '96 and then didnt play his 300th till 2002? _ I can be corrected on that- the standing of the guy- in that several of the retirees this year only played betwen 15- 200
Persistance and he's passing that on to the young guys

A. 1909
B. We beat Geelong 6.13.49 to 6.12.48
C. Corio Oval
D. We played a suspended player. (W.Stewart who was in our side had been suspended for a week on June 3rd that year and was therefore inelligible to play at any level. But he was selected anyway.)

What is the shortest time a club has experienced between a wooden spoon and a premiership? Which Club?

Fitzroy did both in the same season in 1916.
does that count??
By the way I will throw in another question that I was running late for.
Who did St.Kilda defeat by a point (on protest) in the opening round of 1900, to record our first ever win in VFL/AFL football after 48 straight defeats?

Hi....How are you??

Yes that's right. Amazingly, because of world war 1, only four teams were in the VFL. Fitzroy finished the home & away season last, but participated in the finals where they played 3 (including the grand final) and won them all. So I suppose it was only a 3 week period between wooden spoon and premiers. I doubt that record will ever be broken again!!!!
